Depression

It's being hungry and everything has a cardboard flavor
walk to go to a place you never leave
to run away from a darkness that is within you
feel only echoes of what you have already lived
laugh so as not to cry and end up crying
fight even if you always lose

It's to witness your own existence without voice or vote
not fit more than with the loneliness inside you
accumulated frustration without an escape valve
dream with eyes open
live with eyes closed

It's to write the same word without stopping
up to screaming in frustration
count to number 100 in a progressive and regressive way
starting and stopping with each number you advance
breathe without the air reaching your lungs
being engulfed in flames and not feel the heat
is walking in circles without stopping for hours
scream without being heard
die in life
breathe
keep dying
