Young Adult Fiction
READING novels has been a favorite hobby or past-time for a lot of people. The fictional world gives them an escape from their cruel or boring life. They love going crazy over interesting characters that were so alive because of the author's description and powerful words. Novels were no longer just a source of entertainment but also an outlet to learn different lessons in life.

There are different genres that you can enjoy reading depending on your taste. Of course, we have our own individual preferences. Some people aren't really romantic so they usually go for horror, fantasy or thriller. But a lot of readers, especially women, are so into romance novels. It's undeniablyone of the most profitable genre of novel. But because love is a very broad subject to discuss, it has been classified into different categories. It's now easier to determine what kind of romance fits you depending on your age.
One of the most popular type of romance novel is YA or Young Adult. Some people call it Teen Fiction. I guess it's pretty self-explanatory. These novels tackle the stories of characters who are on their teeanage years. But it doesn't mean that only teeangers are allowed to read it. In fact, these books are recommended for all ages. Teenagers may enjoy reading it because they find it relatable but adults should read it as well. It will give them a better understanding on how the teeanagers of this new generation think and feel. Furthermore, it will give an awareness about teen angst, depression and the unforgettable experience of falling in love and getting your heart broken for the first time.

YA novels are creatively written using simple words. They're "easy to read" and "fast-paced" to keep up with the teenager's attention span. YA writers always have fresh ideas in every book. They always present unique stories which is one of the many reasons for their success. There are a lot of YA authors who have achieved international success and even got their books adapted into blockbuster movies. Not all teenagers are into reading and that is really a sad fact. But it's great to know that there is a specific kind of fiction novel that makes them interested to read and dive into the beautiful fictional world.

A lot! As a young adult, there are themes in more adult novels that we have yet the maturity too grasp.
I loved fiction books by Rick Riordan, Eoin Colfer who wrote the Artemis Fowl series, there's John Green (the new Nicholas Sparks) and there's the poets Rupi Kaur and Lang Leav.
It's light-hearted. Young Adults can take whatever problems it throws, because it's meant for them. They've experienced and or have yet to then it will serve as a lesson. It's something a lot of young adults can relate to or some things that they want to experience such as being a demigod or what not.
Yeah your right! teenagers love to read novels much. That is proven when my teenage time. When i was a teenager i often read novels every night before i fall asleep but when i got married i seldom read novels its because im busy taking good care of the baby.
hank you for sharing your thoughts @chibas.arkanghil :) It's really a good past time too.
Youre welcome... @jassennesaj.
My favorite author is JK Rowling from Harry Potter but with YA books, I like the works of David Levithan and Lauren Oliver. Even with stories anchored on teenagers life, you can still learn so much more! And they're all very easy to read as well and authors have amazing imagination. 💓
Normally I don't read this type of novels... I usually stick to my favourite genres such as fantasy and thriller novels, but thanks to your post I kinda want to give YA novels a try!
