Mazda RX7-FD3s fully prepared for a launch...
This is my RX7 on one of the disused landing strips at Föne airbase in Sweden. This photo was shot in 2016 whilst running some tests after re-building the turbocharger.

Do you guys just have disused runways that anyone can drive on to?
If so, I may need to fly over soon for some "testing" also ;)
We do have some drag racing events on a old airfield also 3 times a year
Nice, have you done much racing? I did a test n tune, but then the organizers asked if I would enter the competition after just for fun. The airfield we use is an old Cold War bomber strip, it’s really long, so we can do the One Mile also!
Yeah this one! It’s part of the road network leading to the main bomber runway. If you want to get on that one you have to enter a race though... it’s closed to the public 😟 We have a few drag races a year and a One Mile event most years. I entered a drag race in 2016 just to test it out 😈
That is a nice looking photo. But how did it run?
It ran pretty perfect actually, I still need to get the boost controller dialed in properly. To make much more power I need to upgrade the injectors, still on the standard setup. They are running up to 85% injection rate, so I could squeeze a little more out of them, but really need to go bigger. The turbo is good for 500-600bhp.
