Hello Steemians !

Today is another day when I talk about an Abbey beer, it's the Ramée ! It's a beer that I discovered in a bar at Louvain-la-Neuve, the city where I study, which is called the Beer bar. It got A LOT of beer and I often can't decide which beer to take so I found a solution to figure this out. I just take the menu, it's a big A3 sheet, and I spin a coin on it until it stops on the beer's name that I'll take. So here I am ready to taste a new beer !

It exists in two form, blond and amber, both have 7.5% but are quite different. Created in 2001, they're now made by the brewery Du Bocq near Namur. The date on the label, 1216, represents the year the Abbey was built.

Tasting

 
Time to taste ! Strangely, when I smell it, I didn't smell any particular odor. Then, when I tasted it, it feels the same, it's a little awkward but I just couldn't describe this beer. It has its own taste I can't deny it and the only thing that I could say about it is that it's quite sparkling.

I rate this beer 6/20, I just don't get it. I'm sure expert would have a lot to say about this beer but not for me. I'm not saying that you shouldn't try it but it's not the kind of beer I'm interested in.
