Let me reintroduce myself I am Janice Hung, an International Wushu Champion, Commercial Model and Actress based in the Philippines.

I began in Wushu.

If most of you are not familiar with Wushu. Wushu is a Chinese Martial Arts originated from China, made famous by Jet Li and often used by a lot of Action Hollywood Films. This is a type of Martial Arts wherein we use different kinds of weapons, like the sword, spear, cudgel and a lot more.

Like anybody else my journey to where I am today was not easy. I know how it feels when nobody supports you. Wushu changed my life and allowed me to achieve my dreams. Winning medals opened big doors of opportunities for me like TV Commercial, Print Ads, Cover of Magazines, Billboards and TV Series, etc.

I found fulfillment in helping others particularly the youth. I’ve done several programs and projects for them.

My first Charity Project MUZIKADEMY- it is a Free Music Camp that I organized for all the out of school youth Filipinos who are promising composers, singers and musicians.I have invited some Celebrity mentors as well as some Artist friends to join me in this advocacy. It aims to develop Filipino Talents and enhance their musical ability. We taught them how to properly package themselves. Fortunately some of the scholars after the camp were able to get recording contracts from biggest recording companies in the Philippines.

Of course I also launched the Wushu Kids Project where I also teach Basic Wushu Lessons for free with the hope that one day one of them can become a Wushu Champion too.

I’ve been part of several feeding programs and gift giving in different communities.

And last year I launched my Udefend Project.

UDEFEND PROJECT is a free self-defense training program that aims to educate and empower women and children.

I tell you it is such a great feeling to lift people’s spirit and give them confidence.

Social Media isn’t new for me.

I’m blessed to at least have some 212k likes on my Facebook roughly with 3.7 million views on my Youtube account. I mainly use my social media to inspire more people, I give out free fitness programs to my audience, share Wushu to everyone. And I would want to do the same here in Steemit. I want to be able to inspire more people to use Steemit and see the benefits it could bring us not just the monetary benefits but most importantly the positive and healthy community that we actually have here that any other social media platforms doesn’t have.

I’ve been to Steemit for more than a week, day by day I learn something new. The more I stay in this community the more I become keen in promoting it and partake to build a better community. It will be a great opportunity to introduce Steemit furthermore to the Filipinos.

I started to lay the seeds by creating a Steemit group in Manila with my very close friends.

Why Should I get the 500 Sp and What will I do about it?

When I get the 500 SP the main goal is to help the steemit community to grow more. One of which is to basically reward or upvote original and high quality content.

Inspire more people not just to use Steemit but help them understand on how to properly use the platform. I believe there’s a need for proper understanding to be able to rightfully use it. In that way we help protect the platform from abusive users.

The most important mission is to give back to people in that way we truly give everyone a fighting chance to become successful too. As a saying goes “Small Acts, when multiplied by millions of people can transform the world.“
