Inktober 2019 Day 13: Ash

A very old historical building reduces to Ash. My idea of inktober Day 13 prompt. Here I drew an image of a winged human figure with its right hand raised up towards the sky. That poor thing probably had been reduced to ashes by the fire too. What remained is this figure that had survived the scorching heat and flames.

On a recycled white paper I made this human figure using permanent black marker. I already have an idea how it would look like : raised hand and wings on the back

After the shape is done I started to add some darker details on the background then used a black ball pen for the finer lines and shades

I had to painstakingly add the smoke details that slowly rises from the ashes and this time there is no more fire. Heaps of ashes all around. Hope you get the idea.
