Magic: The Gathering - Fun with Deckbuilding

As a result of attending the Aether Revolt prerelease event and making several trades, I have been busy building many decks. The mono-white Special Forces deck has been modified and re-focused to enhance the abilities available. The mono-black Death deck just wasn't working out after playtesting and is currently being revised with a new general released in this new set as noted in that prerelease post mentioned above. This is resulting in a massive shift throughout that deck, so it is getting an entirely new decklist and may warrant a new post altogether once it has been tested.

I am also building or modifying several other decks, including:

• A red/white soldiers and angels deck
• Two new red/green decks that differ entirely from the Gruul Rage deck I covered earlier
• A mono-blue control deck
• A red/black destruction deck
• A blue/black zombie tribal deck that may include a third color, too
• A green/white token deck led by Emmara Tandris
• A Tiny Leaders deck led by my new Kambal, Consul of Allocation that may turn into a full Commander deck, or incorporate into another deck I have been pondering
• Some possible Standard-legal decks from the new Kaladesh and Aether Revolt sets

As such, the constant urge to build and modify decks has been keeping me quite busy.

Anyone considering the hobby might be better served by choosing to build just a deck or two instead of feeding the obsessive urge to tinker with new ideas like I do. But this is what I like most about casual magic - experimenting within the confines of my collection, and making trades to refine what I like.
