Beer and Painting
This post is not especially artistic, but it may be slightly entertaining, at least. I bought a shed from a local lumberyard. They built it and delivered it, but I elected to save some money and paint it myself. I also need to build shelves inside, and that will probably happen tomorrow.
But this is all slightly beside the point. I selected an odd beer as my afternoon refreshment during this chore, and that is the main thrust of my post tonight.
Grand Teton Brewing has a very bare-bones website. Their Teton Range IPA is pretty good, though, if IPAs are your thing. 6.5% ABV is a bit stronger than the average ale, and the hops are fairly aggressive. 70 IBU, if memory serves from the label. But there's also just the right amount of malty sweetness to make it palatable, enough to make me notice they remembered that hops aren't the only flavor a beer needs. It's a decent American IPA that is worth a try if that style suits your palate.
The barn paint was pretty cheap, so I am curious to see if it fades or peels over time. Did I save money, or set myself a repeat chore in a couple years? Time will tell. I already added the first coat of red paint over the pre-primed siding, and I will definitely need a second. The red splatters on my hands and clothing are slightly gruesome. I also have some white paint to finish the trim work once the red is done. Hopefully autumn will stick around this time long enough for me to finish.
Good night, y'all.

The role is:
Stay off the beer when you as long as you use a ladder 😊
Don't worry, ladders were used responsibly in this project.
Looks good!
Your beverage sounds refreshing as well. ;)
Im hoping fall comes here soon... in south GA it is still hot out!! But the past day or so, we have had clouds and a little rain, which has been a relief...
I, too, hope autumn lingers for a few weeks!
I measured over 2" of fresh snow almost an hour ago, and it is still falling. So much for Fall Part 2. Sequels are usually disappointing, but this takes the cake.
Looks like fun. :) A beer sounds nice right about now and I have one, though I'm saving it for something special. I hope your continued painting and shelf making goes well!
