Mee Tai Mak and Coffee Latte- dailyfoodphotography submission

I was amazed that i can find this rare dish in Perth. The noodle is called Mee Tai Mak. I have seen Mee Tai Mak in it's uncooked form in some Vietnamese Market but actually eaing this dish in a Food Court is my first.

Some call this "Silver Needle Noodle" because the shape of this short pump white rice noodle, do look like a small needle as one side of it is slim and sharp looking.

What is most important is their soup stock. I believed it is from pork bone stock as it did not taste like fish stock. Can also be from chicken stock.??

The ingredients with this dish are lean sliced pork and special Pork Ball though not round and not bought commercially outside. The shape of these pork ball is oval in shape and hand made by this stall.

There were vegetables, garnished with green spring onions and a little garlic and fried onion on request. Only thing missing is fresh cut red chilli.

I am definitely go back whenever i crave for Mee Tai Mak soup. They also sell fried Mee Tai Mak with minced pork. They used black sauce to fry similar to the KL fried sauce. It is tasty and delicious but i like their soup dish better because of the stock for the soup.

This is the Coffee Latte I ordered to go with my delicious Mee Tai Mak. Noticed that it is a little different from most of the designs as they are normally bigger like leaf shape and covered the whole cup surface. This design has just a small cute "heart" on the surface. It is creamy and the milk is thick.

It was thick and concentrated and the aroma was wonderful. Great choice as i was deciding if I should take Teh Tarik or Coffe Latte.
Teh Tarik is tea with hot milk but they used action like pouring the tea across onto another cup, not spilling the tea. How skillful would depend on how high across they do it. So at the end there will bubbles ontop of the Teh Tarik cup.
