Steemit holds space for self-exploration

I think that's the main reason I've come to love this platform so much. I've been doing a lot of soul-searching the past few years with the intention of understanding myself better so that I can connect with myself and others more deeply. I didn't really know that this was my intention when I began, but it has become clearer to me over the past couple months that disconnection is one of the main reasons we experience pain, fear, sadness, guilt, anger, etc. Steemit has not only created a supportive community that has allowed me to post about things that are uncensored self-expression, but it also REWARDS me for doing so! It has encouraged me to do more music and share experiences that have greatly impacted my life so that others might benefit from them.

The post that I chose to highlight in this contest is the one I wrote on November 18th after experiencing a Bufo Ceremony for the second time. I never imagined that there would be a place I would feel comfortable posting about a psychedelic experience online, but Steemit has become that, and I'm so thankful for it. Writing about this particular experience allowed me to learn more from it and more effectively integrate those learnings into my life while simultaneously providing information for others who might benefit from it.

No matter what the state of the token is, Steemit has become an outlet for my creativity, a source of inspiration and a conduit for connection with others who have similar interests/mindset/openness. I'm so grateful to have found this platform (thanks to @jaybird and @dan-atstarlite!) and I'm excited for its inevitable growth and development. Thank you Steemit! And thanks to @anomadsoul for facilitating this contest! :D
