Ok... ok... there aren't really any curtains in the post, but maybe a mini-blind or two in the background. :)
My title about the curtains came about because I was remembering something I read on someone else's post this past year. I had enjoyed reading their posts as they told about things that happened in their life at work and home, real life things and their thoughts on it. At some point though, they wrote that they thought there was more money and attention for the people that wrote about Steem all the time and so they were going to change how they posted. In that post, they mentioned that so many people were posting about their curtains. It wasn't that they really meant people were using their actual curtains as the subject for their blogs, but just that it was every day objects/subjects, common? Boring? ...and I realized I might be one of those people ! ha ha....
So this time my "curtains" are colorful glass objects....LOL... get it ?? My Sis-in-law gave me the vase in the photo (2nd above) because she didn't want it anymore. I've had it around a while, sitting here and there, but today something behooved me to sit this glass ball that one would normally hang, onto the top of it and Vwa-LA ! New artsy creation ! I thought it was pretty, so now I'm showing you.
While I was at it, the next "curtainy" thing was this glass chime/sun catcher. I gave it to the same sister in law. She never hung it and when she let me go through some stuff she was donating to charity, there it was with one broken piece on the left side. I liked it when I bought it and gave it to her (NO! it wasn't broken when I gave it you silly !!) so of course I still liked it now. I was happy to take it back ! LOLOLOL.... it was funny and I was not offended. I probably was thinking more of what I like than what she might like when I gave it to her (with some gift cards) when she retired. My bad !
I love seeing it hanging in my front window on a sunny day.
Here it is a little closer and you can see my Christmas lights are still around my front porch banister. I light up everything inside and out through my birthday two weeks after, then I don't light up the outside anymore.
For my next set of "curtains" giggle I have a large art glass ball. This one has a flat area to it so that you can sit it on a table or wherever. I found the very tall candle holder long before I ever had the colorful glass sphere, but one day, quite by accident I realized the flat side of the ball fit perfectly in the top of the candle holder and Vwa-LA again ! New artsy decor. It's really pretty when the sun shines through it.
.... and I really liked the way it reflected my vintage aluminum tree.
I didn't take it personal back then, in fact it really made me laugh and I have found it humorous each time I thought about it since then. Like this time, when I found myself taking pics of my colorful doodads, I thought, here I go, posting my curtains again. LOL !!!!
It is a pretty happy place here. That's what I do, fill it full of things that give off happy vibes. Then it makes ME happy when I come home.
I read something somewhere way back that said "Collect things you love, that are authentic to you and your house becomes your story." I sort of already thought I did that, but it was fun seeing it in words.
These were temporary difficulties, for technical reasons I almost lost my blog password.) But now everything is fine.)) Soon there will be more posts with mountain (and not only) landscapes.))
Fun! Yes!!! Can I be related to you! You give the coolest stuff. I am never offended with a regift or giveaway. The intent was there, so, that is all that counts!!
I am too! Regifting is the best thing some ingenious person invented! I cannot think of a better way to use an unwanted gift than to present it to someone that will have an appreciation of it.
And yes!! Right???
Besides.... how could anyone not like that ??? LOL !!! It could go outside. How can anything not "go" with outside??

It was wonderful ! We sent to San Marcos, which is a very nice Mexican Restaurant and had a great meal. After we went back to his house and he brought out a small fancy cake with on candle lit for me to make a wish and blow out.... and then eat a slice. He gave me a funny card and an Amazon gift card ! Then we looked at a few old family photos he had put on a flash drive for me to take with me. It was like a whole second party in one day !
I had lots of fun. I don't see how it could have been a finer birthday.
Lots of folks wouldn't have come here though, if not for the promise of possible profit, so I understand in that category if people change to what they believe they see is more profitable. I just thought it was fun and funny that all the other things they considered fluff was referred too as 'posting the curtains".
