Dreams and Aspirations. What would you have done if you had USD 25K?

Greetings to the amazing steemians in the house. It is a beautiful day and another opportunity to relate with you all. I love it when people talk about dreams, wishes, and inspirations. With dreams, we find hope, courage, motivation, and reasons to pursue and set life plans for ourselves. He who has no dream is more like a dead man. Applause to the community admins and moderators for coming up with such an amazing contest.

I picked up my calculator to convert 25k USD into Nigerian currency, and what I saw left my mouth wide open. Currently, 1 USD is equivalent to 1,500 naira. Multiplying 1,500 by 25,000 gave me #37500000. That's a huge amount of money that can change my life and that of my family. But the question is, do I consider the money too big for me? Can I channel it well? Well, let's find out.

I woke up one day thinking about life in general. I look at the different classes that nature has placed humans. Some are favored with a mansion, cars, and even private jets to travel around the world. While some are just in the middle class living the life of an average man. Such people have a house of their own, and possibly 1 car to travel within the states or community. Sadly, some people hardly eat 3 Square meals a day. No house of their own talk more of owning a car. So sad.

That brought my attention back to my family. I looked at our house, my dad, mum, and siblings. There and then, some questions stroked my mind. I asked myself

• will my Dad and Mum come to this life and leave without sleeping in what we call a mansion?
• Will it be fair for them to depart this world without having a car of their own?
• How will they feel if after many years on earth, they haven't traveled to at least 1 or 2 countries to experience life?
• Are they comfortable with their current state of life?
• What about me and my siblings? What does the future hold if life continues like this?

There and then tears rolled down from my eyes. I know the sacrifices my mum and dad made for me. They made themself poor so that I might be rich. They served as a ladder and a pillar for me to climb to the top. They stayed hungry for me to eat. Out of the little they had, they sent me to school and settled all my debt. They are poor but never ask for a penny when in school and get disappointed. They tried as much as possible to see me comfortable when in school. Today I am a graduate while they are now old and weak. I feel the responsibility of making them proud.

Back to the 25k USD, my parents need to have a taste of a mansion, a car, and at least travel to 2 countries. With that, they will be proud and have a cause to be happy. They have done well for me. Considering the prices of cars in Nigeria, and also the cost of building a house, 10k USD will be enough for my parents. I will be left with 15k USD to myself.

With 15K USD, some people will think of buying a house, or car, and probably traveling out of the country. As for me, I know my background and it will be a wrong decision for me. I always believe that money brings money. But only if you know the principles guiding it.

Looking at myself, I am still young and I believe I have much time ahead to fulfill other dreams. But then dreams can only be fulfilled if and only if we have plans and we work towards them. As such, I do prefer to invest part of the money in business. With the profit I will make from the business, I can buy cars, build houses, travel out, and give my siblings and my community a better life.

From my calculation, 8k USD will be enough to establish a good business. You might probably want to know the kind of business I love to do. Okay, I grow up seeing my parents farming and also rearing animals. And I know the gains and the losses that come with it. I also know how much you stand to gain if you invest in farm products, the rearing of animals, and the poultry business. It pays a lot. With that 8k USD invested in it, I am settled for life.

Out of the remaining 7k USD, I WILL save 3k USD in my savings account in case of any unplanned occurrences that life might bring. As for the remaining 4k USD, I do invest it in crypto. Remember, cryptocurrency is the future. I buy steem coin because I believe in the future of steemit.
