Casita para Mascota / Pet House

Hello my dear friends of steemit, today I will make a post about my work day in the workshop, today I made a house for the baby of the home, that is, rabbit, cat, dog, all those who occupy a large part in our hearts🥰.

Nuestro trabajo comenzó después de la hora del almuerzo, estaba viendo esa serie de Netflix, anatomía según greys. Pero esa es otra historia, bueno como les decía, me llaman a mi teléfono celular y solicitan una casa para su perro, la señora amablemente me indico las dimensiones de la casa, porque su perro es de tamaño grande, las casas de perro que había visto en tiendas para mascotas, no le gustaban, por estas ser un poco pequeñas, así que la señora decidió buscar por Facebook y ahí vio mis publicaciones, y al ser de madera y no de plástico le gusto mas la casa, me solicito que la casa tuviera 90cm de altura x 60 cm de ancho x 70 cm de longitud, y de color blanco.

But that's another story, well as I was saying, they call me on my cell phone and request a house for their dog, the lady kindly told me the dimensions of the house, because her dog is large, the dog houses that there were seen in pet stores, he did not like them, because they are a little small, so the lady decided to search on Facebook and there she saw my publications, and being made of wood and not plastic she liked the house more, she asked me to house was 90cm high x 60cm wide x 70cm long, and white.

Después de proceder hacer el boceto de la casa, y sacar las medidas de los listones de madera, sacar la cuenta de cuantos listones necesitaba y sobre todo que medidas cada listón de madera , cortamos y armamos la estructura, también le hicimos un piso solido con una red de listones de madera, para que soporte y resista el peso del bebe de la señora ( el perro, no se confundan🤣 ) y también las paredes las forramos con trupan de 0.25 mm de grosor.

After proceeding to make the sketch of the house, and take the measurements of the wooden slats, take the account of how many slats I needed and especially what measures each wooden slat, we cut and assemble the structure, we also made a solid floor with a network of wooden slats, so that it supports and resists the weight of the lady's baby (the dog, do not be confused🤣) and we also lined the walls with 0.25 mm thick trupan.

And we have finished the carpentry part, I will tell you a secret, my favorite part of carpentry is when I assemble and the measurements do match, because there are times when I assemble and they coincide, then I have to cut again or find a solution 😪. Well let's continue with the painting part, normally my wife is in charge of painting but it was very cold and since it was a single house she left the work to me.

Okey en la foto, se puede ver que tengo puesto un guante y agarro un wipe ( pañuelo podría decirse), este wipe se usa para pintar con la selladora ( laca para madera mezclado con tinner ) esta mezcla es muy fría y actualmente en Perú seguimos en invierno, en pocas palabras, hace frio del clima y hace que la mezcla sea aun mas fría de lo que ya es, por esa razón estaba viendo Netflix, bien abrigado en mi cama 😝, y por esa razón mi esposa me dijo que lo pintara yo 🤣 porque la mano se entumece del frio.

Okay in the photo, you can see that I have a glove on and I grab a wipe (handkerchief could be said), this wipe is used to paint with the sealer (wood lacquer mixed with tinner) this mixture is very cold and currently in Peru we continue In winter, in a nutshell, the weather is cold and it makes the mix even colder than it already is, for that reason I was watching Netflix, warm in my bed 😝, and for that reason my wife told me that I will paint 🤣 because the hand goes numb from the cold.

Después de echarle selladora, la macillamos con macilla de talco blanco o mastique, para tapar los huecos de los clavos o laguna impureza de la madera, y así quede perfectamente uniforme. En el tiempo que tarda secando preparas el duco ( laca para madera con color ) .
Luego con una lija de 120 al agua, procedemos a lijar el talco y toda la casa para que quede suavecito, y se le aplica una segunda mano de selladora para así crear una capa extra de suavidad y tape las impurezas de la primera mano o el talco .

After applying sealant, we put it down with white talcum mastic or mastic, to cover the holes of the nails or any impurity in the wood, and thus it is perfectly uniform. In the time it takes to dry, you prepare the duco (colored wood lacquer).
Then with a 120 water-based sandpaper, we proceed to sand the talc and the whole house so that it is smooth, and a second coat of sealer is applied to create an extra layer of softness and cover the impurities of the first coat or the talcum powder .

We let the sealer dry again and we sand again, but this time with a sandpaper of 200 water, to leave a greater smoothness and we proceed to paint with the blowtorch and the duco, the entire surface is painted and let it dry.
