RE: Contest | 25-Word-Comment - Monkey Business | A Picture + Comment - 6 Steem
Becoming a health worker has not been my dream since I was little, and even after completing my diploma, continuing my undergraduate and professional education, I was all just carrying out my parents' mandate. I just want my parents to be happy, to have a child like me even though now they have both died.
So why can I survive in this profession?
I have missed various important experiences in this profession, but at least my presence can provide benefits to society.
A moral message was conveyed by my parents before they died, "my son, we only want you to continue living to help others, your presence with them will be a gift."
This is the strong foundation that continues to build my enthusiasm to this day, serving people in the interior, far from small towns with difficult access.
Look at the picture above, this is a special moment when visiting one of the villages isolated due to the flash flood that occurred in December 2020.
They needed our help, needed medicine and food, and we walked through the mud-filled streets.
Maybe it will be reflected in your mind that we are a poor country, we don't have anything to develop this country. no, we are one of the richest countries in the world that has abundant natural resources.
But why is the infrastructure condition like this?? hahaha... I can only laugh, as the largest oil and natural gas producing region, it has been named the poorest region, not only at the provincial level, but the poorest region in Indonesia.
All because of corrupt officials who have no vision for developing the country, only collecting as much money as possible for the prosperity of central and regional government officials.
To the point, our journey to the location took almost 2 hours, you can imagine when we went there on motorbikes, wearing white uniforms.
When we got there our uniforms turned gray, like the mud spread along the road.
In isolated villages with a small population, they survive as plantation workers, and visiting health facilities is difficult for them, I can't imagine when they need help giving birth.
Based on the story, they even gave birth on the street, using a pick-up truck when they were taken to a health service facility for almost 2 hours.
This was an impressive experience for me among other experiences while working at WFP and ARC some time ago.
Maybe this is one of my parents' wishes that has been realized, and useful for others.
So the ladies carry and wear long skirts in the mud while you take pictures?
I am not sure if it's a good thing to be in a profession you don't like. Since you still do it I assume in a way you like it, more than you are aware of.
If it comes to being a "poor country" all I know it benefits governments if it comes to aid, import, export and so on. I start thinking if the government is doing this on purpose.
From the very first day on women gave birth they did it without hospitals. Perhaps if these women still can they are the better species. I don't consider it normal if hidpitals, all kind of tools and surgery is needed to give birth.
Thank you for sharing this photo where more story is behind than the smiles of those women willing to walk to give aid and relief. 🍀❤️
hahaha... I also walk. Even though I have lots of images, this happens to be the one saved on Google Images. Even though it's not interesting, at least I try to participate actively as a form of support for your contest. 😊
It is interesting don't say that. I love to have you around especially since we are friends.😁 You know, friendship comes with responsibilities.
Do you feel better now or still sick?
🤗🍀❤️
I have improved after drinking ginger decoction and am currently compiling projection data and assumptions for health targets for 2025.
Exhausting 😕..
I have to finish it for tomorrow presentation
I hope you finished it but also found time to rest well. Were you lte? It's strange how some of us care and stress about being in time while others don't care and... have a relaxed life.
❤️🍀
I saw your other comments too :) great work. Is this a Google image?
Is what a google image dear? The image of the bear? It is what I said it is An online card sent to me by a prisoner I write with.
The other image (cat Kitty Wu) my daughter made, and the one you use to curate and I used about at least 18 times during the past 4+ months is from canva. If you mean another picture let me know please
This comment was for @irawandedy
I have curated his comment! And asking him about the image. Where I read that the image is taken from Google.
I responded to your issue/ query about banner. We have changed our team banner in the reply to your comment. I hope that clears the confusion:))
Hi... I just read your comment. This is my activity during health service trips in remote villages. You can see the history in the image below
I saved the image on Google Photos
I really understand the use of copyright-free images, so I, as the one who campaigned for this from the start, cannot possibly do anything dishonourable

Thank you for your reply.
I think there is a bit of confusion...
I didn't blame you or asked you to credit the image. There was a bit of dialogue going on and just out of curiosity I asked something like this!
Of course you are one of the veterans. You would not do something like this.
Peace
heheheh... forgive me if i've done wrong.I misunderstood your meaning. hahaha... I laughed because of this mistake 🙄🤝
Yes, it's clear. I assume google is internet and he will answer you.
👋🍀
Congrats for your wonderful job! Do you know? In my current country also happens women to gave birth on the street. But it's still third world. It's a fight.
Even if not 3rd world it happens not everyone can be in hospital in time. At home sounds the best to me.
So many of us don't realize how fortunate we are to have the privileges that we do.
I have immense respect and admiration for people who survive in such difficult conditions. I hope that things will get better. Thank you so much for sharing.
Melakukan tugas mulia menjadikan jalan berliku bukanlah sebuah tantangan,...
Semoga selalu sukses brother... 😇😇😇
Where was it brother @irawandedy?, it is like the way to some place in Nisam Antara (but better not to mention it). My village was also looked like this before, but now, we use all resource we get to develop the rood access for better. We had complained but we try our best to modified things we had for good use.
Need more time to repair the damage human resource of our country I guess
have a good day
Your guess is wrong, brother... This is one of the locations in my current work area. It's really sad to see the condition of the infrastructure here, even though this is a plantation area that should be paid attention to.
One of the curators left you a comment @irawandedy they asked about the photo you shared. She said it is from google. Perhaps you should answer her?
No... I never use images from Google.
I believe @soulfuldreamer was the one who asked!

Did you save them online so google shows them?
No, I keep it private
How can google find it?
But I tried looking for it, there is no reference there.
