The art of making three-dimensional drawings requires a lot of skill, and even more if they are done by freehand. As I am a beginner in these of making drawings in three dimensions, I want to start drawing only objects, and later I will dare to create more complex things. Today I bring you this drawing of a tubular well in gray scale. Here I show you the final result and later you will see the process.
I began drawing with the graphite pencil the silhouette of the well. It can be noticed that the strokes are irregular due to the fact that the drawing was done without using instruments as rules, that is, freehand.
Then I traced the horizontal lines of the interior of the well, in order to divide the body of the object into equal rows.
In this part I drew the vertical lines that would serve as a division to form the blocks of the drawing.
After having practically all the traced baselines, I dedicated myself to highlight them and improve the straightness of the lines, so that the lines would look more regular.
I also highlighted the inner lines of the divisions of the blocks, pressing enough to the pencil to obtain a dark tone.
I started shading with a dark tone on the left side, and lightening as I moved to the right side, which is where the light came from.
Then I painted the shadow of the well on the lower left side. And while he was doing it, I realized that he needed more darkness at the left edge of the drawing, to give an effect of depth, so I accentuated it.
Finally I cut the sheet to the height of the half of the drawing, to create the three-dimensional effect, and with the help of a flashlight I illuminated the drawing from the right side, to create the effect of light. And that's how I did this drawing.
Finished drawing
I have felt very well doing three-dimensional drawings, I really enjoyed doing this work and I would like to continue learning more about this type of art. If you liked my drawing you can support me with your Upvote, and if you have any suggestions you can leave it in the comments and I will read them.
