Teleconsole is a free service to share your terminal session with people you trust. Your friends can join via a command line via SSH or via their browser over HTTPS. Use this to ask for help or to connect to your own devices sitting behind NAT.
You can also forward local TCP ports to your friends. Use this feature to allow them to access the web applications running on your
localhost
when you are behind NAT.
For Linux users, the terminal has become a day-to-day friend to accomplish many tasks, a lot of work can be done with the command line interface easily, especially for sysadmin or Programmers.
Usually, Linux users who often use the command line interface are contributors to open source projects that require them to collaborate and work with other trusted developers and contributors.
This situation sometimes requires them to share the resources they have with others they know and trust. One of the shared resources to share is their Linux terminal.
Teleconsole, allows one to share the terminal sessions they use over SSH to be used together.
Other example cases you have difficulty in configuring a web server on your Linux machine and you have a friend who can do it and you want him to help you to configure it, so Teleconsole is the solution.
Teleconsole is open sourced under the Apache 2.0 license and is available for Linux, OSX, and FreeBSD. Here are some features of Teleconsole as they appear on their official web pages;
Features
- Forwarding local TCP ports - how to let joining parties access TCP ports on your localhost.
- Using Secure Sessions - how to invite specific people, like Github users or owners of a specific public SSH key.
- Private Proxies - how to set up your own proxy servers without having to rely on https://teleconsole.com.

Hopefully, this Huntn can be useful for users and developers who are looking for ways to share their terminal sessions to work together. Keep Hunting.

Thanks, You should try it with your friends. It helps me a lot when collaborating with friends of mine in term of sharing Terminal's session.
I think this is useful for configuration of networks or cisco configuration. How secure is this?
You should try it, Sysadmin need this kind of tools to manage and configure their networks. It's secure, but I recommend it only to share your terminal with friends you trust ;)
Interesting to be able to share your terminal session through the browser! Would be useful for teaching. Nice hunt.

Nice hunt and interesting tool. I generally use tmux to share terminals. Two parties see the updates real time and use the terminal at the same time. This one looks like has also a browser tool.
Thanks, I used to use Tmux to open multiple terminals in one windows, Tmux is also a good choice.
