Another drawing for the wall - Drawing number 11
Hello to all art lovers!!! And one of those who loves fantasy pencil drawings. ^_^
I am in my last week of classes for my Christmas holidays to begin, it is nice to walk without any rush or pressure to finish the projects for the exhibition, because for a change everything is ready with plenty of time, curiously fate has been managing to that time spend on other things, and not on the productive and creative things that I should be doing, although one of those things was an experiment with a material that a co-worker gave, which I will show you later, before I finish the year and everything is going well ^_^
Beginning to portray a warrior zombie
I still have the theme "The Lord of the Rings" based on the sketches of "Stjepan Sejic"
In the drawing this time it's a portrait of a zombie in armor, although I think it's not a zombie but rather one of the specters they use to defeat the orcs in the third movie (someday I'll have to do a marathon of that trilogy)
Due to the proportions of the character, I had to go back to the 14 x 22 cm format, as always I began by making a clear sketch of the main lines of the head, especially his face and the lines that make up the plates of his armor, he is a being that He already died because of that I had to reflect a lot of wear on his silhouette, I began to fill in from top to bottom starting with the helmet, in which I had to apply many gradients in small circles to show the dents.
Throughout the helmet I had to be interspersed with the 3H and Hb pencils, because it was with them that I achieved that metallic appearance, when I finally started the face I continued using that same combination, but trying to give a fibrous texture to the skin, but using the 2B and 3B pencils for the shadows and the contrast, this is also when I noticed the incredible change that the face took when compared to the sketch.
With the head ready, continue with the shoulder, here I had to apply darker tones, although I used both light and dark pencils, the ones I used the most were HB, 2B and 3B, also at this point, as I was already more advanced, I used 6B to reinforce the contrast.
I only needed the chest and abdomen to finish, fortunately this character was wearing large metal plate armor, which made it easier to complete, even so I had to add a lot of wear texture and scratches, and since it is metal I had to Do it with the same shades of the helmet, I added shadows with the 3b on the left side, and I finished adding a lot of contrast to the whole drawing in general with the 6B which is the darkest pencil I have and that's how I finished this drawing.
There are already 11 drawings on the wall of 80
I still have a long way to cover this wall of fanart drawings, I only have 69 more drawings left to achieve this first goal, because once I complete it, I'll do another batch of more drawings ^_^.
