Maligne Canyon Summer vs Winter
The contrast between winter and summer in the Canadian Rockies is nothing short of phenomenal. If you have ever wondered what a 70 deg C (126 deg F) temperature contrast looks like (-35 C to +35 C or -31F to +95F) you can see it in these two shots taken at the same spot in Maligne Canyon about 6 months apart. Maligne Canyon is one of the deepest river canyons found in the Canadian Rockies at 55m (180 ft). The canyon is part of a predominantly underground river system that runs between Medicine Lake and the Athabasca River. Jasper, Alberta, Canada.

great great great work!
Thank you
They're both pretty stunning! The snow and the colours in the winter pic look way too cold for me though XD Were the climbers going up or down?
Thanks. They were climbing up!
Wow, such a difference! Both great photos too. I would hate to be stumbling around in the forest and not paying attention though
Thanks mate. Yes it is hard to see from 10m away from the edge.
Wow, what a difference. Beautiful work as always Robert.
Thanks !

Wahoo! This is pretty impressive. The two photos are beautiful too!
Canada does indeed experience very extreme weather! We lived in Montreal for a bit and did witness the different between the very cold winter and hot humind summer! We were quite impressed by the temperature in Summer.
You're lucky to be able to see such great landscape, we would love to go back and explore more of Canada.
Thanks. Canada has such an amazing range of landscapes. Would love to spend some time in Montreal .
