Rapid development of projects... they are everywhere. How much do you know? -- A TEST!

in #life6 years ago

TEST YOURSELF. Start with this post. How much do you know about what is going on around you?

THERE ARE THOUSANDS OF NEW PROJECTS LAUNCHING

HOW MUCH DO YOU KNOW?

  • Let's begin YOUR test....

1. Are you aware if most of the biggest coins on coinmarketcap and what they are all about?

(Think, Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, Litecoin, EOS, etc?)

If you answered YES. You're wrong.

All of them are going through constant changes, forks, development, price rises, price decreases, governance issues, technical issues and more..

You might think you know more than most, but you certainly DO NOT know all you could know.

2. How much time per day do you spend reading news, forums, social media, and keeping your knowledge on top of what is going on in the cryptospace or even just steemit?

If you answer "less than 2 hours a day"... then you probably are uninformed and don't know that much at all.

(This includes me. I don't know that much at all)

3. So what can you do? READ ALL DAY?

Of course not. But should read more than you'd like to... especially if you want to know more than everyone else does. Reading for a good trader is the most important skill they can have. Read and learn. Non-stop would be nice. But we have lives.... so we can't.

4. What is better than READING ALL DAY?

This is easy. Network and surround yourself with other readers. That's what I do.. If something big and major comes up, someone in my network is going to tap me on the shoulder and say "hey! You should see this if you haven't already"

...and I do the same for them. If something big and important is up... I either write about it (or depending on the confidentiality of the matter)... I may send a private message to someone about it.

So let's get back to the original question:

Rapid development of projects... they are everywhere. How much do you know?

None of us don't know enough. So we should:

  • Read as much as we can..
  • Read more than we like...
  • Network with other readers...
  • Realize none of us know nearly enough as we should.

HERE'S THE FUNNY PART:

When some self-proclaimed "expert" tells you they have investigated THIS or THAT project and they're an expert in cryptocurrency and all offerings available today or coming soon..

It's impossible.

So listen to people... but don't take their word for things. Find out for yourself. Investigate their claims.... and then go a little further and investigate what "they are not saying".....

People love to show one-good side of something, but never talk about the bad possibilities.

junk-car-sales.png

Every single used car I've ever bought, the previous owner had only good things to say about the vehicle. It wasn't until I've owned it for a few months afterwards that I realize..

  • Yeah, this guy "had" to know this was wrong with the vehicle, but didn't say anything
  • When I asked him "is everything okay, nothing needs repair soon?" -- he never told me about this or that..

What people don't tell you... is enough for a spark to get you started to find out what you could be missing.

When reading journalist stories and headlines, they always try to report un-biased opinions.... but I have yet to read a news article that isn't biased in some way. Journalists love reporting the news because they can bleed in their reason for writing the article to try and sway public opinion.

  • Developers don't make projects become successful

  • Journalists and Analysts don't make projects become successful.

  • Investors don't make projects become successful

....what makes projects successful is user adoption. Intelligent users, who make informed decisions.

  • So the best thing you can do for yourself, and your investment is:

  • BECOME an intelligent user, by doing more reading and more networking with other intelligent people.

...and while you're at it... follow @intelliguy --- I promise to bring good advice when I find it... and I find the bulk of my followers are also intelligent people who like networking with me too.

I'd write more, but now I have to go back to reading again. (sigh)

  • WARNING! If you didn't read this post, then you're going to know less than everyone else does. LOL.

Booom!! You hit the spot. So many gurus out there. So many promises. To be honest i am continously keeping up to date with my portfolio and with new tech/difficulties but i have to admit that i do need to read more and more every day. Its a bit exhausting, the funny part is that if you dont do research for like a day or 2 once you come back your lost like a cow in a restroom. Lol Awesome post man! -Cheers

Well now I know when I see a cow in the restroom, it's just a lost crypto-nerd. LOL But's it's true, this stuff evolves so fast. Even with the weekly EOS Talks we do it feels like what we spoke about the week before is only partially valid the next week. Keeping us on out toes for sure.

Network with other readers...

That's one of the reasons I try to catch EOS Talks as many as I can.. and when I miss them, I watch the archives. :)

And thats why i keep the archives up to date 8)

You are right man... nevertheless there are tools to stay tuned, at least... I use https://cryptopanic.com as an unattended tool... let me know if it works for you, at least, to be more informed (I know that it will never be sufficient but...helps)

I agree with "find out for yourself". When we only take in theoretical stuff we actually end up knowing nothing at all. Only by taking the practical effort we can really participate in conversations! :)

This is so true. The amount of research that is required is almost synonymous to obtaining a phd. Nevertheless, most of us if not all of us do not do the necessary research / reading prior to investing. It is back to the days where hearsay is easier way out. Good reminder thanks.

The new crypto world leverages research and maths, the nerd skills which were not so popular in the previous version of the internet :) The researcher type suddenly becomes again as important as during the Enlightenment times.

surround yourself with other readers - You have hidden this gem, but I found it, and I have to say that I believe this is one of the most important part in being informed about the market changes. It is because a single person can't know and read it all, but more readers can cover an important part of the big changes in the market and they can share with you ideas that you can develop or study more. I guess this is what is important!

Great remarkable point in this post really impressed me. We have to know more and gather knowledge and also update it reading regularly. Thank you dear for sharing this post with us. Really I like this post from my heart.
