🌸 Muharram has come greeting 🌸

Abat Sahabat Mutiara Islam, the month of Muharram has come to greet us. Imam Al-Bukhari said "Berilmu Before Saying & Charity", therefore we should know this glorious month so that in the month of Muharram we can do good and righteous deeds.

Abat Friends, the month of Muharram is one of the illegitimate months

Prophet ﷺ said,

السنة اثنا عشر شهرا منها أربعة حرم ثلاثة متواليات ذو القعدة وذو الحجة والمحرم ورجب مضر الذي بين جمادى وشعبان

🍃 "A year consists of twelve months. Among them are four illegitimate months, three in a row, namely Dhul-Qa'dah, Dhul-Hijjah and Al-Muharram, and Rajab Mudhar which is located between Jumada and Sya'ban "🍃

Ertian Understanding of Al-Muharram in language means that time is forbidden. The question arises "what is forbidden for?"
To torment ourselves and sin.

Allah Ta'ala said,

إن عدة الشهور عند الله اثنا عشر شهرا في كتاب الله يوم خلق السماوات والأرض منها أربعة حرم ذلك الدين القيم فلا تظلموا فيهن أنفسكم

🍃 "Indeed the number of months with Allah is twelve months, in the ordinance of Allah when he created the heavens and the earth, among which there are four unclean months. That is a straight religion, so do not persecute yourself in all four months "🍃
📚 (QS At-Tawba: 36)

In the verse above Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says:

{فَلا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنْفُسَكُمْ}

"Do not oppress yourself in it", because sinning in these illegitimate months is more dangerous than in other months. Qatadah rahimahullah once said:

إن الظلم في الأشهر الحرم أعظم خطيئة ووزرا من الظلم فيما سواها, وإن كان الظلم على كل حال عظيما, ولكن الله يعظم من أمره ما يشاء.

🍃 "Verily, wrongdoing in the forbidden months is greater than his wrongdoing and sin than doing wrong in those months. Even though he did wrong in every great value, God raised all his affairs according to what He wanted. "
📚 (Tafsir ibn Abi hatim)

Abat Friends, the month of Muharram is also called the month of Allah. And in the month of Muharram it is recommended to increase fasting

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said,

أفضل الصيام بعد رمضان شهر الله المحرم وأفضل الصلاة بعد الفريضة صلاة الليل

🍃 "The most important fast after (fasting) Ramadan is fasting in the month of Allah, that's Muharram. While the main prayer after the obligatory prayer is the night prayer. "🍃

👤 Imam Nawawi rahimahullah explained,
🍃 "This hadith is an affirmation that the best month to fast is in the month of Muharram."

Abat Friends, the most recommended fasting in the month of Muharram is fasting 'Ashura. That is fasting on the 10th of Muharram

وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ فَقَالَ «يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ وَالْبَاقِيَةَ». قَالَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ فَقَالَ «يُكَفِّرُ السَّنَةَ الْمَاضِيَةَ

🍃 "the Prophet was asked about the virtue of the fast of Arafat? He replied, "Fasting Arafat will erase sin a year ago and a year to come." He was also asked about the specialties of fasting 'Ashura? He replied, "Fasting" Ashura will erase sin a year ago. "

Abat Friends, also do the Tasu'a fast (9 Muharram) in order to overcome Jews.
Ibn Abbas Radhiyallahu 'anhuma said that when the Prophet ﷺ fasted the day' of Ashura and ordered the Muslims to do it, at that time someone said,

يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهُ يَوْمٌ تُعَظِّمُهُ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارَى.

🍃 "O Messenger of God, today is a day that is glorified by Jews and Christians."
Then he said,

فَإِذَا كَانَ الْعَامُ الْمُقْبِلُ - إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ - صُمْنَا الْيَوْمَ التَّاسِعَ

🍃 "In the coming year, God willing (if God wills) - we will fast on the ninth day." 🍃
Ibn Abbas said,

فَلَمْ يَأْتِ الْعَامُ الْمُقْبِلُ حَتَّى تُوُفِّىَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ -صلى الله عليه وسلم-.

🍃 "Not until next year, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam has already passed away." 🍃
📚 (HR. Muslim)

👤 Ibn Rajab said,
🍃 "Among the scholars who advocated fasting on the 9th and 10th of Muharram were Imam Asy Syafi'i, Imam Ahmad and Ishaq. As for Imam Abu Hanifah, it is disgraceful if someone only fasts on the tenth day. "🍃
