Health is wealth

in #food7 years ago

Have you ever wanted to eat healthier, but seen the price of a bag of dried mango and decided that a bag of chips would be a better and cheaper option. But have you ever looked at it this way, have you ever felt fatigued after eating a large meal full of so called heavy foods.Have you ever noticed that you are tired all the time and getting ill, food can be one of the greatest investments you will ever make, not only can prevent you from getting ill,it can also effect you mind/thoughts,the way your body looks and your energy levels.

So the next time you think that the healthy option is way too expensive perhaps think twice,I speak as a vegan who has had many life changes since going down the path of a healthier diet.

Take care :)organic.jpg

Upvote for vegan! I'd love to hear more from you. How long have you been vegan and what promoted the change from your previous lifestyle (assuming you were not vegan your whole life)?

Cheers,
Nick

It's a lovely article, I see some great advantages in being a vegan, it's funny how we should eat greens like animals and how when dogs are sick they eat grass:)

Yeah, I have never felt better as a vegan. I feel so light and relaxed. It's a great way to live.

Hi thanks for the up vote :) I shall try to post some more stuff in the coming days,I guess the change from vegetarianism was a realization in many ways, the only thing I really ate that was not vegan at this point was cheese I really did`nt like milk and eggs.

I thought at the time their was some benefits to having cheese in my diet. After researching further though I realized not only was it something that can be very addictive their was in reality no real benefit so really it was nothing more than an indulgence i guess ,plus their have been cases of baby cows not getting enough milk,so I guess my philosophy was if its something I don`t need then I should find an alternative it helps me and the cows.

I`ve been vegan since about 2015/16 and was vegetarian for around 5 to 6 years before that as I felt could not stand how animals were slaughtered.Veganism its quickly become my new passion,I just love plant based food and what it gives me,I think its true that mother earth certainly knows best.

take care :) peace

I'm glad it is having such a positive effect on your life. I had my own journey into veganism about 4 years ago.

Have a look at this piece I wrote 2 days ago and tell me what you think. I'd appreciate feedback from another vegan.
