Dear @indigoocean

Indeed we're still very early adopters and it's very clear that we're all "walking in the dark", not knowing what is ahead of us.

However I also believe that mass adoption is only ahead of us and there is only one direction for blockchain industry. Technology is never moving backward.

Interesting that you mentioned masternodes. I didn't think about them in a very long time. I found masternodes to difficult to understand and I think mass adoption of masternodes will never take place.

ps. Few days ago I posted about our leaders pushing recession away and since I value your knowledge and experience, I would like to ask if you could share your own opinion on that particular topic.
I would greately appreciate it.

Yours, Piotr

Mass adoption of masternodes could happen to the same extent investing in dividend paying stocks has been, if only the industry would develop as much so that it would be just as easy. There are some companies that make it fairly easy and secure now, but still has a long way to go. That said, what percentage of the general public holds dividend paying stocks despite that being considered “mainstream?” Those who actively seek to grow their wealth may always be a minor percentage of the public.

Thank you again @indigoocean for your amazing comment.

Have a great monday ahead :)

OK a) I've never even heard of coinjoin before this, so thanks for that, I will have to check it out. :D
But b) you make a great point. When I'm trying to explain Steem/crypto/blockchain to other people (and I'm not a techie, either), they're generally looking at me like I've fallen for the Nigerian Prince scam, or just smiling and nodding like I am coocoo for Cocoa Puffs. Then I say that I think blockchain now is like what internet was in the early-mid 90s, and they start to think twice. I mean, I started on AOL in 1996, and non-internet people were making fun of "imaginary friends in your computer" the same way that people make fun of "magic money in your computer" regarding crypto now. Only a select few adventurers are venturing forth into the wild new territory, but very quickly it can alter everything.

LOL! Yeah, I guess all the actual scams in the crypto space don’t help any. But one day our faith will be borne out to be true. In the meantime the trick is to get our families to get some so that we don’t wind up being seen as the money pot for our entire family.

Hahaha, I can only imagine. I have always been The Poor One. I mean, family members have declared bankruptcy, but they all generally lived beyond their means on credit so they didn't look poor, whereas I don't have that going on. XD
