Gentle Werewolf Episode 8.2 - a comedy script (Ep. 1 linked in post) (this is a 900 follower celebration!)

A new comedy series about finding yourself, friendship, love, work, and play. Also werewolves.

In a world intolerant of howling, it’s tough to be a werewolf. Tom is jobless, a massive government conspiracy is hunting him, and sometimes his friends just don’t want puppy kisses.

Episode 8.2

      INT. BATHROOM

      Courtney enters. Tom is shaking.

                          TOM
                You can't be in here.

                          COURTNEY
                You look sick.

                          TOM
                I feel amazing! The croutons...
                they were soaked in bacon grease.

                          COURTNEY
                Are you serious?

                          TOM
                Bacon. I can't control it. The
                beast; I can feel it inside me.

                          COURTNEY
                Now calm down...

                          TOM
                It's rising. I want to sniff
                things. And lick them! I want...

      He howls. She covers his mouth, pins him. Tom struggles,
      then Courtney makes eye contact and growls. Tom looks cowed.

                          COURTNEY
                Pull yourself together, man! This
                is no time for your freak-outs!

                          TOM
                     (panting heavily)
                Thank you.

                          COURTNEY
                Now listen. You've done great so
                far. Kayla likes you. Hold down
                your werewolfism for the night and
                you'll have a good thing. Can you?

                          TOM
                Lycanthropy.

                          COURTNEY
                When you get back, you're going to
                pick out the croutons from your
                salad. Then you are going to eat
                your salad like a man, not a dog.

      Tom barks. Courtney slaps him lightly on the nose.

                          TOM
                Thank you, sir. May I have another?

      Beat. Courtney isn't amused.

                          TOM (CONT'D)
                ... Yes, I can do that.

                          COURTNEY
                Then you're going to give me the
                croutons. Because man, bacon-dipped
                croutons sound like ambrosia.

      EXT. KAYLA'S APARTMENT, NIGHT

      Tom escorts Kayla to the front door of her apartment.
      Courtney and Jacob make out.

                          KAYLA
                Tonight was really nice. Thanks for
                dinner.

                          TOM
                Thanks for the balloon flower, and
                for giving me another chance.

                          KAYLA
                Can I confess something?

                          TOM
                Yes...

      She steels herself. Looks in his puppy eyes and deflates.

                          TOM (CONT'D)
                What? I love confessions.

      Kayla notices Courtney and Jacob and giggles a little.

                          KAYLA
                Would you take a different
                confession in place of the one I
                was going to give you?

                          TOM
                There are two? Tell me both!

                          KAYLA
                I can tell you one now, and the
                other can be our treat in a month.

                          TOM
                Agreed.

                          KAYLA
                I know your secret.

      Long pause.
      Blackout
