Mundane Art #15 : "Fence Post"
Indeed, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Even twins are different, let alone people with different tastes, likes, moods and among other things. Artists I envy for their talents and skills, having the eyes that only them can see that we mortals can only appreciate with their works. Even i can't appreciate nor distinguish brilliant works sometimes, but i do appreciate what is beautiful in my eyes, even as mundane and ordinary.
For almost half a year now, perhaps in a bit longer and I would have forgotten Old Dog's #mundaneart challenges. Those days of participation were FUN for me, i guess life sometimes have a way of taking all of our time. Thanks to #netcoin and some free time yesterday, checking my feed got me excited on seeing @kus-knee's challenge once again.
Our mundane art this time was of a fence post
"Now, where on earth will I find a fence?"
Concrete fences separate each other's backyard in the neighbourhood, even the field behind ours in the Eastern side of the house. Looking at some fields in between houses, fence' posts are all concrete with barbed wire in between. They should be ok but they all look new, in comparison to their previous look of almost touching-the-ground posts years ago.
I was thinking of our neighbour's garden posts last night, so going out this morning gave me these shots.
This fence is quite old, reminiscent of the Spanish era when our town was noted to be founded in the 16th century. Clay pots can be found on top of the posts, where concrete remnants followed the form of the pots when built. Stones painted in yellows and blues can also be seen along the front of the posts, to compliment them. I must say they look posh when edited.
Reviewing my shots later I wanted to get more with some specific angles. These went out of the window as there was a mini-party earlier at our neighbour's. Though I got a few shots when going home.

I need 2 entries for #mundaneart
Unless i can find another subject, i only need to chose one photo from here. If there's none as I can't go far from the house, these images will make do for my entries. Anyone is welcome please to the challenge!
All of these images were edited of course as it is allowed. The dilemma now is, which can I use? I hope you enjoyed looking at them as much as when I was shooting them. I got teased by my friends but hey, whatever rock our boats, right?
All images are mine, taken and edited with my Samsung Galaxy S7.
I was just writing a fence posts post but couldn't find anything as exotic as yours. 😁
I like the second picture best. The colour is good and then the first one which shows more of the post.
I like the barbed wire and wood and the decaying nature of it. If I was a judge, on of the first two would be a winner. 😁
Thanks much Gillian! I can use 2 of those 😍😍
Se nota el paso del tiempo por ese objeto @immarojas
Very true gracias🙂☺
