Hello Steem Garden friends wherever you are, I hope you are in good health and always blessed. On this occasion I would like to write a review about herbal plants or better known as Ginger Plants. Hopefully all of you can get knowledge about the posts that I will share here.
Some time ago I had the opportunity to visit a friend's plantation located in the Cet Matahe area, North Aceh-Indonesia, which happened to be the owner who invited me. It takes 1 hour to arrive at the plantation location, through rocky road access and up a long incline. Our goal here is to refresh as well as to bake together.
According to my prediction, this plantation area will reach 1 hectare. Then I had time to go around the plantation area and found an herbal plant called the Halia plant. Based on the knowledge I get about this plant. Ginger plant is a kind of herbal plant which is always used as a spice in cooking and for traditional medicine.
This plant is quite famous in the world, many countries produce this plant such as Nigeria, China, Thailand, India and Australia and even Malaysia has also planted it, but the planting of ginger plants in Malaysia is still in the process of being small. This plant also has a number of local names, namely Jae (Java), Goroka (Ternate), Melito (Gorontalo) and lia (flores).
This plant has special characteristics that describe the shape of this plant, including fibrous roots, tense trunks and trunks with horizontal rhizomes. The rhizome of this plant is slightly thick with fibrous flesh wrapped around the tuber and has a brown color with a distinctive aroma. While the leaves are panicle-shaped with 2 sexes and 1 stamen and flower pistil. Then the flowers will grow in the armpits of Halia and while the leaves are interspersed with the bones of the leaves.
As a plant dubbed as a herbal plant. This plant has a number of chemical substances that are often used for treatment. These substances include resin, essential oils, cineol and camphor and others. And there are also a number of ingredients such as amino acids, niacin, vitamin A, lipids and proteins and others. Not to mention that tumbungan can prevent several diseases, including preventing impotence, overcoming vomiting and diarrhea, back pain or sprains, overcoming coughs and headaches.
This plant grows in the tropics with a height of 0 to 1600 meters above sea level. Soil moisture due to rainfall is very supportive for the rapid growth of this plant. If I have the opportunity to take care of this plant, I think it will be a pleasant experience, not to mention, how to take care of it is also not as difficult as we imagine. It's just that this plant needs water every day and sowing fertilizer only needs to be done at the beginning of planting. The fertilizer used can be manure and compost.
Thus my short post about ginger plants. This is my first post on the Steem Garden Community. Hopefully what I share can provide education and be useful for all of us.
