Introduction

Hello everyone, how are you all doing. This is my first post in steemkids community and I am happy to join and I will give my full support to the community by making quality post for now as a newbie. I joined steemit on the 27th of November 2021 and I have been able to take part in a comment contest last weekend which I got 8 steem as first winner. I will take the first step to power up half of my earning to join the contest. This is the steps I took in powering up .

Step i

I decided to go to my wallet and I logged in I later took a screenshot of my wallet to show the remaining balance before I would power up.

Step ii

The next step was that I went to my steem balance, located the drop down arrow beside it.

Step iii

In the below dialogue box shown after clicking on the power up options, I listed the amount of steem I wanted to power up which it was 4 steem and clicked on the power up button.

Step iv

I clicked on ok below the dialogue box and I copied and paste my active key for evidence

Step v

Then I tooks screenshot of my new balance after i powered up.

Conclusion

I am so glad that I was able to earn steem in a short while and join this contest . Thank you @steemkidss for this opportunity in grooming new comers to know the benefit of powering up. Thank you @adylinah for your assistance with this I will proceed to my achievement 2 to get proper understanding.
