Subject vs Object Thinking
I'm here on Steemit primarily for conversation with people who care about sharing quality ideas. To that end, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the idea of subjective and objective thinking.
Product vs subject thinking is a broad way of viewing the way humans process and think. While this has broader application in terms of whay we consider objects or subjects, mostly I use it here to describe the state of the thinker when actively taking in new information or forming new ideas.
Product thinking is seeing people or ideas in terms of a commodity or good. It may acknowledge the way the product was creates but doesn't care about that method, only the static results.
Subject thinking is seeing people or ideas as dynamic and part of the system which produces them. It allows nothing in a vacuum and requires a broad scope of context to find meaning.
Product is end result focused
Subject is process focused
Product is disconnected from context
Subject is connected to the context
Product is oriented around judgement
Subject is oriented around understanding
Product is about winning
Subject is about participating
Product is skeptical
Subject is curious
A few questions to get started:
Do you have a default mode you find yourself using?
Do you think what is presented here is valid, or too reductionist?

I think this is probably true in pieces. When I think about my thought processes it may be different depending on the situation. Some situations may be a blend of these two thought processes. For example, when presented with something new (such as this) I tend to be curious but skeptical at the same time. It may take some time to fully process the idea presented so the different thought processes may change in priority as processing continues.
