Growing Lavender In Pot
I love lavender and have grown it in container since I moved to the condo complex! The scent is heavenly and it helps to eliminate mosquitoes, so I was told. I am not sure if it was true, but I didn't mind having lavender on my deck.
Lavender seems to be attracting little skipper, little hoverflies, butterflies, and of course bees. There was lot of things I could have done with them, but time and circumstances didn't allow me to explore.
So I grew them for sheer joy of having them and smell the sensational scent of lavender. The only thing I did was rub it fresh on my dog to make him smell better, and he didn't mind it at all. In fact, he even when to the lavender pot to smell them.

Mosquitos really dislike the scent that lavender gives off! Seriously!
I agree that lavender is a scent I love!

Beautiful. Lots of lavender in my neighborhood. Love it.
They are beautiful and the heavenly scent is an added bonus!
Healthy growing! I also plant few plants in planter but sadly many died. Any trick for long lasting plant life?
Thank you! Your planter needs drainage holes! I have to drill holes then add pebbles before putting in the dirt..and lot of sun...
Hmmm...we have heat, everyday is more than 30 degrees celsius/86 degrees fahrenheit around here. I was afraid that sun shine is over kill?thanks, will try giving some rays then.
Mine is on the deck and got lot of sun during the afternoon, and they seem to do fine! Don't forget to water them :-)
