Ulog 47: Champion is back to action

"Mummy, I am hungry!"

That cute voice echoed across the living hall. The sentence I can't stop falling in love with. Instead of, "No! No! No food in my tummy please. It hurts."

After one week of 'fasting', but not really, because I had been tube-feeding him, Jansen boy is back to eating. He is feeling 100% alright now and hunger is his game...the hunger game, pun intended.

I super duper love when he opens the fridge to search for food. I go crazy when he runs to the kitchen when he smells my lingering on-the-stove-being-cooked-food while exclaiming, "Smells so nice, I can't wait to eat!"

Oh my, my mama's heart will bloom with joy and my smile from ear to ear.

Jansen is not a picky eater and thanks to my sessions with dietician who taught me not to give him a chance to choose what to eat yet let him explore food so that he has chance to so-called choose to eat. I hope you get it because I am not going to elaborate much here. 😊

I cooked steamed 'siakap' (one type of seabass) again yesterday with simple stir fry vegetables and he finished his lunch quite fast. I was impressed.

And he is back to his cheeky bubbly self again, talking non-stop as well.

Not bad huh with just little remainder of rice. We always remind ourselves that his tummy is smaller size due to fundoplication and never ever compared him with other boys his age - the amount of food he can chow down per meal. This is good enough.

We pray. We hope. That he will stay this way forever. We are looking forward for miracle to happen in his tiny little body. That one day, he will never need to suffer any complications again. Or else, we will be back to this. ⤵️
