I can't believe how my "orbit"'s freewrite turns out | 5-minute Daily Freewrite by @mariannewest

I admire the Creator of the universe, who created the galaxy, sun and moon, stars and planets, who is also able to ensure the 8 planets circling their life accordingly — on their respective orbit. So organised. So beautiful.

As a parent to two young boys, I just had a wishful thinking, that I could make them line up and move according to the orbit I set for them. Ha! Now I don't even know whether did I use the word 'orbit' correctly in this context but welp, there is no right or wrong in the freewrite by @mariannewest so I am free from feeling I am a bad writer.

Boys are boys. Or should I say, children are children. They jump whole day. The laugh all the time. They play without feeling tired. And when it is time to bath or eat, they are still thinking about jumping, laughing and playing. Sometimes, no matter how many times you reminded them it was time for bath, it didn't work. They were still chasing each other around the house.

How nice if I have a magic orbit, and once I laid it out, they walked and behaved according to the orbit. Fully controlled and organised.

But then again, the last I know, they are human beings with own freewill, emotions, feeling and choice. They are not planets, nor are they robots. I can't possibly control them.

The only solution for me as their mommy is to learn to chill and relax, not to feel helpless or powerless when they don't succumb to my power. I really don't prefer to transform to a Hulk Mummy! ‍♀️
