Home Alone versus Home Together

"Hello......!!!!" I shouted at home...home alone.

Then...

"Hello.....oh..oh..!" my echo replied.

Where is everybody?

And then my brain got stucked here at this part of the story for today's prompt - HOME ALONE.

I wanted to write a story about I got left out by everybody and be at home alone. Recalling the comedy show titled "Home Alone" starred by Macaulay Culkin, I thought it would be nice to be home alone sometimes.

But as I wrote the above seconds ago, I could not put myself in a situation where I am home alone or worse still, I could not find my family members, either they are lost or I am.

I got so used to the noises of my children shouting "mummy! mummy!" most of the time, or them jumping like monkey or chasing after each other around the house, that if one day I would reach to a home, alone, no one else, I will feel sad.

Home has become a place where 'alone' no longer exists. There is only 'together' in a home, where we look out for each other, and even when we have me-time, we are thinking of each other too.

Home alone...

Sometimes when someone tells you to "leave him or her alone", that just means he or she is deeply hurt whereby after a period of time to be alone, he or she needs to be embraced and hugged. There is some emptiness that can only be filled by the presence of another person. Can't be achieved alone.

Home alone is good for just a couple of hours - to finish off tasks which required you to be alone. Then usually the soul and the heart will yearn for togetherness, because warmth can only be built when we are together. Just like one hand is impossible to clap, we need two.

Such random thoughts for today's freewrite. And here I wish everyone to have home that is merry and fun and joyful. Should you go through a season where you wish to be home alone or heart alone, try to reach out after sometime. Don't be alone for too long, for you are not meant to be alone forever. Love~~~❤
