Hey Steemit, not quite sure what to say, but I'm excited to be here!

I'm not great at introductions, so I'll make this brief. My name is Spencer and I'm a senior high school IB candidate. I'm relatively new to social media, I've never had a Facebook, twitter, Reddit, or anything of the sort. My friends told me about this website called Steemit, and I was a bit more inclined to give social media a try. Not only does it operate through crypto-currency rewards for being a positive and contributing member of the community, but it honestly seems like a positive and non-toxic environment. Anything that may have prevented me from joining an online community was eliminated by the way that Steemit operates. So, I can say with enthusiasm that I'm happy to be here.

You might be asking exactly what you are getting yourself into when reading my posts. To give an idea, I love video-games, more specifically Nintendo games. Expect a bunch of posts on The Legend of Zelda franchise, this franchise is my favorite in existence, I love the world, the story, and it was a large part of my childhood. I also play Overwatch, and Fallout, to name some non-Nintendo games. Overall, I'll probably be posting about games, but there might be some other various subjects sprinkled in such as politics, movies (especially Jurassic Park, considering this is my favorite film franchise and the Fallen Kingdom is coming out summer of 2018), and maybe even some general food for thought.

One final thing to know about me, I'm a busy guy, I don't do anything unless it seems to be worthy of my time. Steemit, I have no doubt, will be time well spent. I can't wait to to become a part of a community which fosters positive interactions and to connect with people that I may have never met otherwise.
