She came back with a surprise 😭

It had been too long since I last saw her, and I was really worried. Every time I park my bike or car outside the house, all the other cats would run up to me. They seem eager to greet me, although I know they are mainly asking for food. Sometimes I wonder if these cats truly lov me or if they just see me as a source of food. Then I remember my own cats at home, who would trade me for a piece of chicken without hesitation.

As I mentioned, it had been a month since I last saw her. Amongst all the other cats, I looked for her daily because she was the kindest and gentlest of them all. I think she loved me too. Why? When I put food down for everyone, all the other cats would grab a piece immediately, run away to eat, and then come back for more.

She, on the other hand, would sit calmly and silently with me. She never made me feel like she only approached me for food, so I had no reason to doubt her intentions. That's why she was my favorite. I had raised her from a very small kitten and watched her grow into a full-grown cat.

Then she left, and my heart ached for her every day until today when she casually showed up with the best surprise. I had a feeling something like this might happen. I had noticed changes in her over the past few months, and today she finally brought me the two cutest kittens I have seen in a while. She came back as a mother of two kittens. 😭🥹

The way she looked at me, with her kittens gazing at me with love, completely melted my heart. I wanted to pick them up and squeeze them, but I knew they were at a very tender age. If you've ever had a cat, you know that a mother cat is extremely protective of her kittens during the first few months. She only feels comfortable leaving her kittens around someone she trusts. I was honored to have this privilege. She sat there calmly while I gently rubbed the heads of her kittens, watching me with love in her eyes.

This moment was profoundly touching for me knowing and allow me to interact with them was incredibly moving.

Just look at him with his blue/green eyes, exactly like his mom. He's already got the aura of a beast, and now we know why we call cats the greatest animals in this world.

The other kitten wasn't sitting with his mom and looked a bit weak for his age. That's the thing with animals—they're not like humans. Over time, I’ve learned that when animals have multiple offspring, they always try their best to ensure all of them survive.

However, if they sense that one is unlikely to make it, they don’t expend their energy on that poor soul. Instead, they divert their attention to the healthier ones.

This way, they can save multiple offspring by sacrificing the weaker one. It sounds cruel, I know, but this is how nature works. We can't fight it, but we can help the weak one survive by nurturing it ourselves, making things easier for the mother.

Life is especially tough for stray animals, and they have to be very strong from the start. These kittens are probably only a month old, but they already look grown-up.

Why is that? The circumstances. They have to be strong to survive. If you compare them with a home pet kitten, you'll see the difference.

Stray kittens face harsh realities from the moment they're born, which forces them to mature quickly. By understanding this, we can provide the extra care and attention the weaker ones need, helping them grow strong despite the odds.

I hope I'm able to make a difference in their lives through love and affection. Right now I'm just too excited to meet these little fur balls everyday
