I think the harshest reality of this temporary world is death. The word دنیا (world) comes from an arabic word دنی which means the lowest. The only thing that is guaranteed in this world is death. It is the inevitable reality of this world.

Gwoing up, I have lost my fear of death I guess. The thing is you can't avoid it, you can't dodge it and you can't tackle it. If it's coming for you, it'll get you. I have seen quite a few deaths around me as well. For instance my close friend who lived a happy life like the rest of us. One fine morning his dad got diagnosed with cancer and within a few months he left for his final journey. The same friend who just lost his father, his mother got diagnosed with cancer and she's fighting for her life and if you're reading this please say a prayer for her. I lost my uncle couple of years back due to cancer as well. He got diagnosed with Luncg cancer in February and he left us all in may. That's less than 90 days. Can you imagine? If you're given a deadline of 90 days what will you do?

Similar to this we're going through a challenging situation right now as well. Recently my aunt suffered a heart attack. Alhumdulilah she recovered from it pretty well but she's quite old her recovery has been a bit slow. She's the eldest of our family and due to her, our family has been knitted closely. My father who himself is a doctor has been personally checking over her and taking her care. He remains in contact with my aunt's son, ie, my cousin, all the time and guides every step to her and her family.

Today, my dad took my aunt to a hospital, which is owned by dad's friend, who is a really good cardiologist. Being in the medical field has its perks and flaws at the same time. Te perks being, having connections with well known doctors all over the country. So my dad took my aunt to the hospital for a check up.

As soon as we got there, the doctor welcomed us and asked my aunt to rest on the bed. He started the check-up with the formal protocols and then guided my aunt on her recovery. She has been told to wuit her cholesterol food abruptly. She can't eat anything heavy in her recovery period. As she also has arthritis, the doctor has recommended her to take daily walks, even if it's for 5-10 minutes only

While my aunt was inside resting on the bed, my dad talked to his doctor cum friend. He guided my father to take extensive care of her and make sure that she walks every day and that she takes good care of her food and health.

I GOT EXTREMELY SICK

Rainy season has been going on in Karachi and as I mentioned before as well I am immunocompromised, whenever there's a seasonal shift I get sick, this time I got ill as well. As I write this diary, I am tucked inside my blanket, wearing an extra layer of clothing, on medications.

This all started when I had to travel in rain. Eversince that day I haven't been feeling well. The main thing is my exams are very close so no matter what I HAVE to study. So, today I mustered up my courage and decided to study but since I have fever and cough and chest infection, it was quite challenging for me.

My brother took this picture for me when I was studying Pharmacology. The funny thing is I was studying the exact same medicines, ie, Antibiotics which I have been taking for my health.

I have lost my appetite. It's one of the side affects of taking antibiotics. You lose your appetite. So my mom made me soup and ordered me a burger so that I would eat at least something. I couldn't eat the burger but had soup and it felt very soothing.

Life shouldn't be taken for granted. Yes I know
know death is inevitable. I know you have to leave this world someday, but that doesn't mean that you forget your purpose in life and wait for death like a useless person. Find you purpose, work towards it, and make sure you do something in your life that helps you in the next journey.

Thank you for reading my post. I am very very sleepy as I write this post. Do pray for my aunt and me.
Thank you.

And as always:
