Am I or am I not in #Club100? || Club 100...

in #club1002 years ago (edited)

The Steemit engagement challenge has been running smoothly since the last two weeks.

In these challenges we observed a huge amout of posts in all of the seven communities that were selected for the first month of this challenge.

With the entries pouring in, the workload on the community leaders increased as well. Checking the posts for Plagiarism, Bid bots, Steem exclusivity, and Club isn't an easy task. While doing so, many community leaders were able to filter out a lot of Plagiarized posts, or posts that weren't following the basic rules set by the communities and the Steemit team. But the most common issue that I observed, faced by the community leaders was not being able to judge whether the user is in #Club100 or not.

What are the Criteria for being in #Club100?

In October 2021 when the #clubs were officially introduced to this platform by the steemit team, it only started off with #club5050 but in the next few weeks, we were introduced with #club75 and #club100.

In this post, I'll be talking about the issue of #club100 that users are facing at this time. First, we need to understand what's the requirement of being a member of #club100?

The steemit team has mentioned it several times:

  • For being a part of #club100 you should not have cashed out or transferred any steem for a period of 3 months.

This clearly states that you should be powering up all your payouts for the past three months to be a part of #club100. One might ask, where does the problem occur?

There are many community leaders as well as other users who arrange contests regularly and for those contests, they have to give out prize steem to the winners. This messed up with the #club calculations as to when you check the club status on steemcryptic you'll notice that the users who are distributing prize money are not a part of #club100

Recently, I took part in the Steemit Engagement Challenge contests, and while I was reading the comments of community leaders on my posts, I realized all of them had instructed me to not use the #club100 tag on my post. This took me by surprise as I have been a part of #club100 for the past 6 months now. Upon inquiring about the issue, I was informed that I have transferred a small quantity of steem to other users.

I realized the issue that these community leaders had while checking my club status. When I checked my transfer history, the steem that has been transferred from my account was to the winners of the contests arranged by me.

I decided to discuss this issue directly with the steemit team. Upon bringing up this issue, the steemit team responded and here I am presenting it to all my followers so that they can have a clear idea.

As stated by Steemcurator01, we can all clearly see that if the prize transfers are clearly mentioned in the memo, they will not be calculated in the #club calculations.

  • What should the users do?

Any user, who's giving out prize money to contest winners should Clearly mention it in the memo. So that there is no confusion to the community leaders while checking your posts. This will help you in maintaining your #club100 status, of course only if you are powering up 100% of your earnings for the past three months.

This will ease a lot of things for the community leaders as well as users who are a part of #club100 but due to prize money, their club status was being misjudged. I'm sure the community leaders will read the comment and this post and will act accordingly. Thank you for taking out your time.

Saludos!

Hello friend. The situation has been cleared by the steemit team, as you can check the screenshot on the post 😀

Thank you for that clarification, this is a case to mention to all club leaders organizing competitions under Steemit Engagementnt to take into account.

You're welcome prof. I'm sure this information will help the professors a great deal, in the academy as well, while checking the entries.

Greetings friend @huzaifanaveed1

I find this clarification interesting, to be honest, I was not aware of such consideration, I will be taking the corrective in future revisions.

Hy @huzaifanaveed1

Well done brother i was noticing this query that they are not enabling your club status might this post can help them to settle out club100 issue.

One more thing i was confused that it is necessary to convert all the sbds in to steems and powered up them which we save in wallet? Like you have 277 sbds you ain't convert and powered up them. As you know the price of converting sbd into steem is not beneficial yet.

It's not necessary, but it's advisable to do that so that there are no doubts in place. But since the SBD/Steem rates are not ideal at the moment, that's why I have been saving my sbds. But still, you need to fulfill the most important requirement of being in #club100 and that is to power up all your earnings over a period of 3 months.
Thank you

Might i am also saving sbds because rates are not benificial. If i ain't transferred out steems over 3 months can i also be a part of club100? Its necessary to powered up saved sbds?

yes It is necessary to power up all your learning from the past three months to be a part of club100 without cashing out any.

Thank you for the clarification, but there is still a confusion for some as I made some transfer in a charity and didn't know it would effect my club100 tag. I have asked for the clarification from the STEEMIT Team but till now I have not received any response regarding that.

It will be good if we will get the clarification from the STEEMIT Team on that point too.
