COLLABORATE WITH A MATE & DON'T STOP BELIEVING

in #dtube5 years ago

Dear all,

Today's post is about collaboration. I am part of a meeting which brings together scientists from distinct disciplines and it is soooo stimulating and empowering!

That got me thinking about collaboration on the STEEM blockchain. @ddaily certainly promotes collaboration but....Are there any dAPPs that allow you to collaborate and share rewards for content? I think such a platform would push content creation and quality to the next level. Just think about the diversity out on dTUBE and the potential if people with distinct skills were to collaborate on projects. This holds true for many other platforms on STEEM ofcourse.

I'd be quite keen to hear the views on that from those with a say (e.g. @exyle, @hauptmann, @elsiekjay, members of the @dTUBE and @ddaily community, @palnet and the many others* out there).

Comments on this would be most welcome!!

Have a great day.

Best wishes,

Edgar.

*Sorry if you are not mentioned here. I am thinking out loud here and it is still early!!

I am absolutely on your side man!

We can move mountains by collaborating and there is no good dApp aiming fully for collaboration. A simple task management tool with an attachment revision functionality would fit I guess. idk

I was thinking about creating a simple version of that some weeks ago but I have too much to do and I am not able to code such a big project on my own without receiving any payment. But the community can organize itself with other tools like discord / steem posts and so on. We should continue to collab bro.

I would suggest steemtaskr.com and steemgigs.com here because those platforms are the freelancer platforms on steem but of course, this is far away from real collaborations and task management.

As you've said:
We all have so much potential with all those different skills and interests.

Thanks for bringing that up & for mentioning the @ddaily collabs :)

Peace!

Collaboration is absolutely key on steem @huitemae, especially between two people with specific skills which compliment each others. Through the colab, the final result is twice as powerful with both their contributions.

For example, check out these two photography/poetry posts that were a collaboration between myself and @soyrosa (I promise I'm not shilling my posts, they are way past payout 😉)

The Dereliction of Time - Poetry/Photography Collaboration

Morning Chorus - Photography/Poetry Collaboration

I am a published poet and fiction writer - but a very average photographer - and she is a very accomplished photographer. By combining our expertise we created something special. I think this is key to growing as a content creator and improving tbh. After this collaboration, I bought a better smartphone (with a half decent camera) and taught myself basic Photoshop techniques to up my photography game.

Interesting vlog mate (100% upvoted). If I had more spare time I'd suggest a colab, but at the moment I'm struggling to even get my content out.

P.s. here is a little suggestion to improve your thumbnails: use canva.com and then use the 'Youtube Thumbnail' setting

https://www.canva.com/design/DADc0hlbPdw/hgTqr_ckbwbeV6B9q1EosQ/edit?category=tACZCnmCPGY

to avoid any part of the image being cut away in the dtube snap pic.

thank you @raj808 for your positive comment. I will certainly look at your post and when we meet on discord, chat about it. As for collaboration, I don't plan to go anywhere anytime soon. I am sure we'll catch up and collaborate at some point in the future. Its just a matter of having the will (and the time).

Thanks again for your comments and all the best with your struggles!!

I am really loving your consistency, I'll watch this later since I'm out and about.

Thank you @elsiekjay! I value your feedback. It's always constructive! Hope you are doing well. Hoping to see a blog and positive vibe from you again soon!!

Hey Edgar, please except my apologies, I'm sorry that reply so late on your post. Thank you for mentioning me and asking for my opinion.
Collaboration is key in any kind of life situation. Sharing is caring and we all just can improve by learning and we all learn faster and more efficiently if we share our collected experience and knowledge.
For sure communities like @ddaily or @diytube are made for that.
I myself have to admit that I don't take much advantage out of these already existing collaborative communities. I would love to interact more but clearly have a huge lack of time currently.
I had kind of the same approach of providing a platform to exchange knowledge and experience by creating the @dtube.forum. At least once a year having a place and time dedicated to one topic, in this case video creation and everything around it. I think that is important for everyone who is already in the place and who wants to improve in it.
I'm quite sure, your idea with a scientific background for sharing knowledge could perfectly work here on the Steem blockchain. But unfortunately I can't help you in case of DAPP dev. I am far away from understanding the mindset of a coder.
If you have any questions regarding filming & editing, I would be more then happy to help you and of course already invite you to the D.tube Forum 2020. We will announce very soon where and when it will take place.
Best greetings from Barcelona

Hi @hauptmann,

Many thanks for the great response. I did not mean to put you or anyone else on the spot. I just listed those I knew of and whom I thought may have an answer or idea!

I will certainly continue to collaborate where I can and have a closer look at @dtube.forum and @diytube. Thanks again for your kind reply and yes, who knows, we connect at a dtube gathering!

Have a great week.

Best wishes,

Edgar

Oh, thanks for pointing those sites out man. I will have a look at it!!

I can't code if my life depended on it, so yeah, a collaborative project could be a good start towards a dAPP.

Thanks for your great comment and see you here and on discord!!
