I've got the blues for booze
I've had the blues for so long,
The whiskey inside my veins,
The lonely feelin babe,
Going through my brains.
If you don't want my affections,
Don't shake my dreams,
Get out of my courtyards,
And let my things flow free.
The lonesome days,
They do go by,
With a bottle of whiskey,
Staying by my side.
Playing the blues,
On my rusty harp,
The sounds that it gives me,
They break my heart.

I don't usually like rhyming poems because writers generally try to insert a bunch of big words they found in the thesaurus to try and appear deep and profound-- but you used simple language, and the sentiment was nice and to the point. anyway good job. i wish i still had my harmonica
I think that using big words makes the poem lose it's soul, much like todays digital music.. thanks for your comment I appreciate it very much :) get one A.S.A.P hehe
