A Cautionary Tale of How To Print Fake Money...
Use the knowledge in here sensibly i.e you can do anything if you set your mind to it (let's make it to succeed on Steemit, rather than this illegal path)...
Did you hear about Albert Edward Talton?
In 2004, the idea formed when he saw a fake $50 dollar bill at the garage where he worked and he thought that he could do a better job than that. He started creating counterfeit money, and in the end, he managed to pump about 70 million worth of fake dollars into the US economy, as he managed to get away with it for more than three years.
How?
With an inkjet printer supplies from Staples.
When Albert explored the idea that real $100 dollar bills turned yellow when marked with a counterfeit testing pen and retailers didn’t really use any other means counterfeit testing then the pen, he tested what types of paper would turn yellow, with a counterfeit pen.
Specifically, recycled toilet paper!
So armed with a houseful of inkjet printers and recycled toilet paper, the fake money was in production…
It was the next stage of his illustrious fraudulent career (he’d just been in and out of prison for 10 years for bank fraud and released in 2004.
"He didn't just make the easiest-to-produce counterfeit; he made the best he could."
Most counterfeiters would scan in both sides of a banknote and print them on the back and front of a single piece of paper. This counterfeit is easy to spot as the security strip and watermark look wrong.
Talton would use two sheets of tissue-thin paper and print fake watermarks and security strips on the back of one and embedded them in the middle when he glued the sheets together. then he would print the back and the front of the note on either side of those sheets. To make them look even more realistic he would spray them with hairspray and hang them from the clothesline to dry. The hairspray helped counter the problem of the counterfeit pen, Finally, he would cut the notes out to the right side.
For all his perfectionism, Talton used the same scan for every $100 note he produced, so the numbers to the left and right of Benjamin Franklin never altered.
The production got more sophisticated as time went on, but eventually, he was caught red-handed by secret agents who visited his house, after one of Talton's associates used a fake $20 to pay for Popeye's chicken
On Talton’s computer screen was an image of a $100 dollar bill and there were
“$162,000 in finished notes and almost $1.4 million in partially completed bills”
I guess he didn’t have a chance to shove it all under the mattress.
By this time the fraudulent money had been circulated in every state in the United States and in 9 other countries as well!
When asked about this later in prison, Talton was reported as saying:
"It was just an experiment to see if I could do it".

This is such an interesting story but it just goes to show that crime and criminal activities are never the way to go to better your life and circumstances. I could not help but notice the 3rd image in your post. I am from South Africa and the blue notes with the image of the late Nelson Mandela who became president in 1994, are our ZAR100 notes.
Well spotted, I just picked the image as it showed trimming the notes to size. It is an interesting story, I love finding out stuff like this and if other people do too, will definitely add to my posts. Would work well actually, as use these stories in my emails as well.
Yes, I remember reading this story in one of your latest e-mails and to my delight found it here again. I love to receive e-mails with a story in it, so much more interesting than the normal short e-mails one receive sometimes.
That is a fascinating piece of news that I wasn't aware of!
The fact that he pulled it off to perfection shows what a genius he was, albeit a scammer. If only he had used his skills for doing something positive who knows, he would have even got rewarded for it.
He obviously put a lot of thought into it, yes. You are right, who knows what he might have achieved if he thought about the world rather than money.
that's why steemit is love we can do what we love along the way and earn too :D
Steemit is the best legal way to make money.
that a must one to know, and he got away with it for three years, hmmm long time
When too many people got involved, there was always going to be a kink in the chain somewhere
This story is more of an advice to those that are looking for a shortcut to financial success. i believe as you said steemit is more of a blessing to this generation and with hard work and persistence one can also achieved true financial freedom with steemit.

I haven't heard of Albert Edward Talton not until now. Thanks for sharing this information and knowledge. Wow 70million USD of fake notes that is so huge. And it went round USA and other 9 countries. This guy is a legend in the crime world. He should have stopped, but greed won't let him stop. Well, he is behind bars and is he still alive?
I think he still behind bars at the moment, not sure how long this misadventure set him back. Just looked it up but couldn't see how long he got.
When you think about it his bills are worth more than the us treasury bills. The US is about 22 trillion in debt , he only faked 70 million.
Interesting thought. I wonder if they ever managed to recover the whole amount, or whether there is still some in the system somewhere.
I am sure there has to be some out there somewhere.
Interesting story! I hadn't heard of Talton before. It's insane he managed to get away with it for so long. Long enough to make $160+K!!
I am going to check out GINAbot. It should help me find new posts to comment on, since my feed is getting filled with resteems lately.
Yes, ginabot is a great filter, so you just see all things good.
It was a wild ride for him, as he didn't had any experience in counterfeiting or graphic design.. Pure Genius with a great mind put at bad work.. His capture was quite inevitable but you never know.. Genius though :)
It is sort of motivating in its own way that you can do anything that you put your mind to, even though you haven't initially got a clue how to do it. Just better to pick a legal path, or not get caught!
