I only have less than 10 photos from back then.
I have very few pictures from my 20's because my camera case with over 20 rolls of undeveloped film was accidentally left on an Alitalia flight in 98.
Even in 1997, when this photo was taken, my mind was already made up. The system was broken but like many I had no guidance and this was a few months before I opened my first email account. The internet changed my path in so many ways.
Please don't say, "Thank you for your service". If there was internet when I was 17 I never would have joined. I joined because it was a way to pay for University and do some traveling. The traveling was spectacular 😉
That good-looking guy on the left was my buddy Sammy Robinson. My main man who represented the Nation of Islam. I always made fun of him for that.
