My Actifit Report Card: December 11 2018

in #actifit6 years ago (edited)

Today went by crazy fast! It felt like I'd just clocked in at work and before I knew it the clock read noon, and then 2. Next thing I knew it was time to go home!

I walked over to the grocer and picked up a bag of cat food. #Albus would have put out a contract on my life had I dared come home without it.

He may love me, but I've no doubt he'd eat me in my sleep if he were to run out of food. 😂😂😂

The bus ride home was quick enough, I happened to catch the one that brings me all the way to the #boysandgirlsclub from work. It takes a long while, nearly an hour for what would take less than 10 minutes by car. But at least I don't have to trade busses downtown.

I made plans with some friends from work to go to #Bentleyville on Friday, if everybody that says they're going actually shows up we'll be quite a crowd. My three included we'll have between 7 and nine kids altogether. Very exciting. 💙💙💙

And I managed to get my shift next Tuesday covered, my babies are taking part in the school's holiday concert. I know I'll cry. I always do. Last year the darn music teacher contrived to have them sing Louis Armstrong's "Wonderful World".

Yeah. Totally sobbed. This year I've wisened up. I'm bringing tissues. Ha!

Tonight I finally found the grooming blade and took it to Hiro. His hair is clinging to every surface of my house. I'd love to meet the brilliant person that decided to breed a Golden Retriever to a Rough Collie. Hair + Hair = Death by Hair.

In 20 minutes I got enough hair off of him to fill a grocery bag with a dense ball of the stuff. Dang, yoh!

He'll be worse tomorrow. All the brushing will have knocked a bunch of hairs loose, so the grooming will continue. Once Hiro is finished it'll be Ella's turn. Luckily she got the short hair gene. Lol

Anyway, goodnight friends, sleep tight! Don't let the #steem prices bite!

You had another big day and I like it when work goes quickly :)

@actifit did I miss an announcement? My posts at 14 days, 10 days and 7 days have all had their reward taken by #actifit???

I've been using it for months and was not aware that we are now essentially paying to use the app???

hey @hickorymack
lol no you're not paying to use Actifit :)
From what I see you've been using the "Maximize AFIT tokens" option (announced 6-7 weeks ago), which basically converts your STEEM reward to AFIT tokens on payout. The additional reward activity is labelled as "Full AFIT Payout"
You can see all your posts and the ones paid here: https://actifit.io/activity/hickorymack and how much additional AFIT you earned for every post.

Oooooooooooh! 😂😂😂

When I hit that button I was like, "Full report? My post doesn't look any different..."

Thanks for explaining.

The bus ride home was quick enough, I happened to catch the one that brings me all the way to the #boysandgirlsclub from work. It takes a long while, nearly an hour for what would take less than 10 minutes by car. But at least I don't have to trade busses downtown.

gee ... I hate such buses ... doing special detours just to cover as many travelers as possible (sometimes even driving into a cul-de-sac to see one extra bus stop, and quite often nobody wants to leave/enter the bus on that stop), but at the same time it's doing itself irrelevant for many people as the trip takes too long.

I thought we had a similar bus ... one hour and 11 minutes between the end-stops according to the time schedule (I've taken it like 50 minutes some few times).

When looking at the map, the route doesn't look that bad ... but with frequent stops and some weird driving some places (like, at one of the bus terminals, it does a random detour over a bridge to the other side of a big highway, drives like 50 metres with no bus stops, then another bridge back over the big highway ... through the bus terminal and then back over to the other side of the highway again ... probably just because some city planner thought it would be "convenient" to have a one-way drive through the bus terminal.

I imagined the car trip would be more like ten minutes. Actually, Google estimates the car trip will take 44 minutes right now, considering the traffic jams. Perhaps the bus isn't so bad then. Except, bus is likely to be quite much delayed as well when there are traffic jams ...

And still, that isn't as crazy as the bus terminal in my hometown of Tromsø. Again, some crazy city planner thought it would be "convenient" to let all the buses meet at one bus terminal at one side of the crossroad rather than separate bus stops at each side of the crossroad. I frequently took the bus from north to south - it would go straight in one circle, turn 180 degrees in the next circle, into the bus terminal, out of the bus terminal, 180 degrees back in the first circle again, and then straight out of the second circle. So instead of driving 200 metres straight and visit a bus stop at the right side of the road, it would drive those 200 metres three times with two U-turns just to see the bus terminal at the left side of the road. Buses and circles are a bad combination ... it's uncomfortable for the passengers, and probably for the driver as well - but the worst was during the peak traffic, sometimes it could take more than half an hour doing that 600 metres ... crazy! And there wasn't much point in the bus terminal either, the buses would not correspond with each other and they would not wait for each other. I frequently tried changing lines there when going to/from the kinder garden there were like four minutes waiting time on the terminal if everything were on track ... sometimes I believe the drivers were just plain evil ... my bus being like three minutes delayed before coming to the circles, my "corresponding" bus would apparently wait at the bus terminal as we passed by ... just to drive away exactly as my bus rolled into the terminal.

Delivering in the early morning was easy as a breeze, though the round-trip took me more than a full hour. On the return my bus was always exactly five delayed every day, but that was just perfect, I always came there a minute before it departured. Picking up was horrible, I had to give up getting there by bus eventually as the kinder garden had a ~60 USD late pickup fee.
