한국조폐공사, 국내 첫 '공공분야 블록체인 플랫폼' 구축
한국조폐공사는 21일 대전 본사에서 공공분야 블록체인 오픈 플랫폼 구축 착수보고회를 개최했다. 조폐공사는 해당 플랫폼을 '콤스코 신뢰 플랫폼'으로 명명, 이를 통해 소상공인의 결제 수수료 부담을 낮추고 가맹점 신청과 환전 절차를 간소화할 것이라는 설명이다. 또한 다양한 개인 블록체인 데이터가 위·변조되지 않도록 외부 블록체인 데이터를 조폐공사 플랫폼으로 연동 저장할 수 있는 기능도 갖추게 된다. 조폐공사는 공공기관과 중소업체들이 '콤스코 신뢰 플랫폼'을 활용해 새로운 블록체인 기반의 서비스를 개발하거나 확장할 수 있도록 개방형 정보제공 서비스(오픈 API)로 제공할 계획이다. 공사는 연내 플랫폼 구축을 완료하고 내년 초 시범 서비스를 선보일 방침이다.
