Hummingbird Clearwing Moth
Yesterday, while hanging out in my hammock chair, this interesting-looking insect hummed by. It took a liking to my petunias and I managed to grab a few snaps before it took off again.
It's a Hummingbird Clearwing moth, active during the day. They fly like hummingbirds, able to hover and zip back and forth.
Hope you enjoyed these. It was really neat to watch and photograph.

I've never seen an insect like this, seems so big! ^_^
It wasn't terribly big. A little over an inch long and its wings were probably an inch and a half across. It was really neat!
