HelloMedia is a Chinese language media platform under HelloEOS which is an EOS block producer. Devoting to become a media deep in serving the EOS ecosystem participants, we will continue to interview those outstanding teams in EOS ecosystem, including BPs, DApp developers, investors, eco-platforms and media. Also, we provide a multimedia platform for those excellent EOS eco builders who contribute to the developing the EOS ecosystem to showcase themselves.

HelloEOS: Please tell us about your team and why are you optimistic about EOS? Like why are you intend to be an BP from the beginning?

Greymass: Our team is made of a full-stack developer and a computer science researcher. We have both been serving as Steem witnesses for over two years, are deeply involved in the blockchain community, and have a combined total of over thirty years of experience in the technological field. We are excited about the possibilities that EOS offers because it is scalable, programmable, and the fastest blockchain in the world.
Our experience as Steem witnesses has prepared us well to help make meaningful contributions to EOS, since Steem is EOS' predecessor. We understand the value of joining a project in its early stages and helping it to reach its full potential, hence our focus on becoming an EOS BP.

HelloEOS: Your LOGO looks special, could you tell us what it means?

Greymass: The name of our team, "Greymass" is a play on the medical term "grey matter," which is the tissue that makes up the human brain. In English, "grey matter" is also slang for intelligence. We believe that the most valuable asset we offer to EOS is our intelligence and experience - in other words, our brains - and our logo reflects that.

HelloEOS: Your team did a lot work for the EOS ecosystem. Could you introduce their features and functions to the Chinese community? Which one you are most proud of ? Why?

Greymass:
https://greymass.com/
We run one of the best API nodes, with full history. Our node is used by the majority of block explorers, such as bloks.io. We also optimized the mongodb plugin, added filters to both the account history and mongodb plugins, created smart contracts for indexing airdropped tokens and for putting the producer json information on-chain, and we are currently helping to build and integrate the referendum system and associated smart contracts.
But we are proudest of eos-voter, which is the wallet that we built. It has over 60,000 downloads and has been translated into multiple languages including Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. With eos-voter, you can vote for producers, use tokens that you receive from airdrops, interface with smart contracts, manage your account, and more.

HelloEOS: What did you do at reduce fraud and phishing on the social media platform?

Greymass: On Steemit, we have built and implemented two different AIs. The first, Cheetah, detects when someone copy-pastes content and reports it. The second, Guard, detects phishing and malware and reports it.

Once a social media platform is built on EOS, we intend to provide technology that will fulfill the same purposes as Cheetah and Guard, to protect the EOS community.

HelloEOS: What do you think of the service fee charging by the ECAF?

Greymass: believe that the service fee is a good way for the ECAF to fund itself, and it allows them to scale to meet the needs of EOS in a decentralized way.

HelloEOS: We would like to know your first impression to the group of Chinese BPs. And what do you think about the Chinese BPs?

Greymass: The Chinese BP community clearly has a lot of talent and capability. We would like to see the Chinese-speaking and English-speaking BPs working more closely and cooperating on joint goals for EOS. The more people are working towards a common goal, the more quickly it is accomplished, so we would love to see the Chinese BPs participating more in the global EOS community. Of course, language barriers are difficult to overcome, but we believe it would be well worth it to overcome them and work together.

HelloEOS: How is your plan going? Will you talk about your plan in the next phase?

Greymass:Our plan is going well. We completed all of goals for quarter two, and our goals for quarter three are due to be completed well ahead of schedule. At the moment, we are working on supporting the history API and scaling our public infrastructure. We will also continue to add more features to our eos-voter wallet.

HelloEOS: What do you think of the Daniel's recent proposal to remove the 4% inflation?

Greymass:First of all, before taking any actions, we would like to gauge the community's response to this plan. What do they think? After all, we are committed to giving the entire EOS community a voice, not just the BPs.
But personally, we think that the inflation should be reduced rather than removed. It's dangerous from a consensus perspective for the inflation rate to drop below 1%, as it shouldn't drop below the inflation rate of the BP rewards.

HelloEOS: Finally, do you want to say anything to the Chinese community? In other words, could you give us a reason to vote for Greymass?

Greymass:We put a high value on community engagement, which is why we want our tools to be intuitive and easy to use. We also focus on trust, making all of our projects open-source and welcoming security audits. And finally, we are reliable - both in terms of our people and our technology. As people, we have already proved our reliability as Steem witnesses. And our technology is reliable because our infrastructure is built around our enterprise-grade T3 data center in Michigan, USA, and is backed up by data centers in Kentucky, USA and Vancouver, Canada. This makes our nodes particularly resilient to regional outages and localized attacks.
Voting for Greymass means voting for the development of decentralized applications, services, and frameworks that will make EOS more secure, easier to use, and more viable as a blockchain. And these aren't just empty promises - we spent years adding to the value of the Steem blockchain, and we are already doing the same with EOS.
