It was the first day in a while in Melbourne, Australia when it hasn't be either raining or smokey, so with the promise of some late afternoon golden light I headed into the city armed with my Fujifilm X-T3 and my newish 16-80mm Fujinon zoom lens.

Let's see what I can do with some nice light and some shadows.

This is a famous laneway in Melbourne, the building is empty and a bit crappy, but the streetart and the reflected light works for me:

I've always liked the yellow paint on the ground around the Queen Victoria Market, it glows sometimes:

This building has always interested me - it says VSU on the side, which someone from my vintage would read as Voluntary Student Unionism which was a big issue when I was a Uni, can really remember why we were against it, maybe it was just that we were uni students and angry - turns out it stands for Victorian Spiritualist Union - which makes me angry too.

Once you know a city well you know where to find people and a shards of light, Chinstown is one of those places - this isn't the best shot, but I do like her fashion and the light
