Narvikfjellet ski resort

A couple of pictures from Sundays trip up in the mountain above Narvik city. Narvikfjellet, Norway's most urban ski resort, is an unique destination for piste and off-piste skiing above the ocean. Narvikfjellet is located north of the Polar Circle, overlooking the city of Narvik. During the wintertime, the Polar Nights give magical moments on the crisp white snow with the city and the fjord beneath the polar light.

If we walked up to around 600 meters above sea level, we hoped to have the first look of the sun this year. Unfortunately clouds blocked the view of the sun disc.

Even we did not see the sun the sunbeams gave a nice colour to the sky and the peaks around.

To prevent ice in the paws, Nero have nice red socks on :-)

This year will jr. World Cup 2020 be arranged in Narvik. In 2027 is the goal to arrange VM.
