Tether Prints $250 Million

Tether has printed an additional $250 million in coins, possibly indicating a recent deposit to their bank accounts. This comes less than a week after Tether released the results of a financial review which supported its claims of a 1:1 backing with the USD.

Submarine Swaps Adds LTC-BTC on the Lightning Network

Submarine Swaps has added support for LTC-BTC swaps on the Lightning Network. This could potentially enable several use cases for the Lightning Network, namely decentralized exchanges. There will be a percentage fee for cross-chain swaps in addition to the base fee.

Enjin Creates ERC-1155 Token

Enjin co-founder Witek Radomski has written the code for an ERC-1155 token, an alternative to ERC-721 which he says is less expensive and more efficient. Variations of the 1155 standard are all stored in a centralized contract, meaning there is no need to deploy redundant code and contracts for each new implementation of the standard.

Dominium to Launch on Ardor Blockchain

Real estate marketplace Dominium has announced that it will launch on the Ardor blockchain later this year. Dominium will leverage Ardor’s parent-child chain infrastructure to offer listings and property management services on a global scale.

Pharmaceutical company Merck has filed a patent for a supply chain method tracking the distribution of drugs on the blockchain. Merck, a member of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, will aim to reduce counterfeiting and increase security of its prescription drug inventory and distribution.

Zcash Transactions to Temporarily Lose Ledger Nano Support

As a result of an upcoming update, Zcash transactions using the Ledger Nano S will be disabled. Money will not be lost, but will not be usable until Ledger provides support for the update. Users are encouraged to withdraw their funds for the time being, as there is currently no ETA to add support.

Indian Government Nears Release of Regulatory Framework

The head of a government-run crypto panel in India has said that they are “close” to releasing a regulatory framework for activities involving cryptocurrencies. The proposal, which will include recommendations as to which kinds of businesses should be banned and allowed, should be released in July, coinciding with an upcoming Supreme Court case to hear arguments on the Royal Bank’s ban on cryptocurrencies.

Supreme Court Rules For AmEx in Anti-Steering Suit

The United States Supreme Court has ruled that credit card “anti-steering policies” do not harm consumers, or at least that the government did not show adequate proof that they do. In a suit against American Express, the U.S. government alleged that the policies, which prohibit merchants from offering discounts to consumers using cash or other payment methods which may reduce or eliminate merchant-paid transaction fees, were harmful to both merchants and card holders.

Alibaba Founder Says Bitcoin is a Bubble

Jack Ma, the founder of Alibaba, fears that Bitcoin is a potential bubble driven by “torrid speculation.” He nevertheless remains in support of decentralized ledger technology, as Ant Financial, a subsidiary of his company, recently launched a money transfer system leveraging the blockchain.

Amazon Could Potentially Shut Down EOS Network

Amazon or other cloud services providers like Google have the ability to disable the EOS network, according to one Reddit user. By examining node endpoints, he determined that a high enough number of EOS nodes are hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) that, should Amazon decide or be ordered to disable the nodes, network security measures would be triggered and the platform would freeze.

Vitalik: BTC Not as Decentralized As People Would Like

Vitalik stated via Twitter today that BTC (and presumably ETH) has not achieved an ideal level of decentralization, and speculated that to do so would require embracing proof-of-stake algorithms. Asked directly whether he sees BTC’s base layer as the “most secure and decentralized,” he replied simply, “No.”

Maybe Jack Ma is trying to smack BTC down so he can get some at a lower price :)
I am still hodling, although, in hind sight, I should have sold in Dec or Jan :)
The problem is you don't know, should you sell and try to re-purchase at a lower price, say $4000. What if BTC doesn't reach as low as $4000... If/when it will, again, you'd be like: "should have sold, even at $6000, to re-purchase at $4000" ...

I try not to look back. ..hurts too much
