Dry mouth and thirst: Blood glucose is osmotically active substance. When blood sugar level exceeds the kidney's conservative power, sugar starts to pass in urine and drag water and other substances with it. The net result is dehydration, thirst and dry mouth.
Polyuria and nocturia: Passage of urine more frequently and more in the night time.
Tiredness, fatigue and lethargy: Cells of our body can't function optimally when too much sugar in blood
Changes in the weight: Patients of type 1 DM usually loses weight. On the other hand, most of patient of type 2 diabetes are obese
Susceptibility to infection: Uncontrolled diabetes leads to infection , mostly in skin(boil /sepsis) and private parts( genital candidiasis or pruritus vulvae or balanitis)
Hyperphagia: More attraction for sweet food
Nausea, headache and blurring of vision
Irritability, mode change and inability to concentrate
Sometimes a diabetic patient may present with complications notably eye, foot, kidney problems
