There is never a better time than NOW to set your proxy to whomever you think is the best witness to represent the Steem Blockchain and community. Steem needs this now more than ever and it is extremely important to vote for your favorite witness/es or even better... just set them as proxy.

What is a witness?

Is this some sort of religion?! no... not a jehova's witness!

A witness in the Steem Community is a representative who has more authoritative characteristics, that's all. They have more responsibilities. They help run things behind the scenes.
Our community and blockchain wouldn't be able to survive without them! Everything would literally fall apart and we wouldn't be here blogging,,,,which is exactly WHY I'm writing this post. I wanna BE here next month. I don't wanna be anywhere else.

What is a proxy?

Well, when you say that you "set a proxy," you give your authority to the witness to make all the right decisions because they know best for the vision of Steem!

If the witness you are wanting to vote for is on the witness list, they are on the list for a good reason. They have lots of knowledge and experience and have been supporting the Steem Community for years. After you have found the witness (or representative) that you think best represents the Steem Blockchain and where you want this Steem vision to go, then go ahead and set them as proxy. This is the strongest way of saying that you fully support your witness.

(He is also a very hard worker, which is ranked in high merit in the 21st century!)

It takes sweat and tears at the computer to make things work, and our man made it work.
