THE DIARY GAME: 02/07/2020 – MY LIFE TODAY

It’ a beautiful day here. I hope you had a great day.

Hello, dear diary.
I went out to work alone today. My wife felt a little uneasy because of the babies in her womb. Those guys are playing football in there any time they feel like. I had to feel the womb with my palms and you need to feel what I felt. The feeling of joy that I will soon be the father of angels is amazingly indescribable.

In the office today
I got to office by 8:50 a.m. Nigerian time. I arrived before the DCC and secretary. At least I was a bit early today.

For today, we did a collection of all the documents for our tender for final general review and submission. It was a tedious task because three departments worked on it: procurement, engineering and quality control had to come together to do the review. It took us about five hours to complete.

I proceeded to share some jokes with colleagues during break. The planner, Mr. Imekan Enang was telling everyone how sweet my wife’s soup is. My wife gave him atama soup, a local soup today. He said he can’t wait to get married so his wife can be cooking for him. He pointed out that I’m getting fat because of how my wife is feeding me with good food. Mr. Amos, the project engineer told him that getting married is not a guarantee that his wife will know how to cook. Mr. Joseph, the site engineer advised him to look before he leaps.

On my part, I told him that the quality of being a good cook was not my criteria for choosing my wife, because there’s something more valuable than being able to cook: compatibility and peace of mine.

To drive home my point, I cited an example of a young man in my neighborhood, Mr. Stanley, who fights with the wife daily in the street, to the amazement of everyone. Thus, a woman might know how to cook but still not be the one for you.

After break, which lasts from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Nigerian time, I took my lunch. Sorry I did not snap it today because I was too hungry. Today I took afang soup and fufu.

After that,
I went out to get money from a nearby ATM. On my way back I saw watermelon being sold on the way. So, I bought a big one for my wife and I. I bought it at the cost of four hundred-naira(N400) equivalent to 1 SBD.

From there I enter office to clear my table, so I can close on time for the day.

My next thought was to write about today. This diary game has really help me to have a printable account of how I spend each day of my life. All thanks to @steemitblog, @steemcurator01 and the entire steemit team for this amazing initiative.
