'Zintar's Lament' - New Original Music/My Submission for This Week's Steem Monsters Music/Lore Contest! String Section/Dramatic-Theme Song/Instrumental + Walkthrough!

I shared an earlier version
of this tune a week or two ago, but I did a little tweaking, and think that it's worth using for this week's Steem Monsters Music/Lore Contest! I really like the progression here, it's got such a great dark vibe to it, and it strays pretty far away from a simple diatonic minor scale in parts, using some cool modulations that I am pretty proud of. Let's go through it!

So we have 3 main sections,
which (in Track 1) are Green/Brown (puke color? lol), Purple, and Blue, which I'll outline really quickly here.
We begin in our key of C#/Dbmin, starting on a C#5, which is then defined initially by a major 3rd (making it a I), then that moves down a halfstep to the minor 3rd (now a i chord). This moves down to our Vi, but then does an interesting move, up to the bVi/bVii of A#/Bbminor. This chord would be the relative minor of our parallel major key (lol, a bit wordy), and it gives it a SUPER dark feeling.
The Purple section changes keys to Fminor, beginning on Db/C# (now the Vi chord), to Eb, and finally to Fmin, then up to our III, Abmajor. The next time we have the same Db to Eb, but then a bit of modal interchange again with an Fmaj, which moves down to Abmaj, our V chord in the original key of C#/Db, which resolves nicely back into Yellow/Green.
The final section is the Blue, which changes things up again, beginning on an Emaj, to a B5, then C#/Dbmin, and then a big weird change, to Ddim, which helps us modulate into F#min in the next 4 bars. These consist of the F#min chord, to Fdim, then Dmaj, and finally a tritone down to a G#/Ab chord, which again, moves us back into the Yellow/Green section in C#/Db minor again.
Track 1, Green/Yellow section, full 8 bars.
Track 1, Green/Yellow section, full 8 bars.Track 2 is our bass/cello part,
which mostly sticks to root notes, though it also adds some cool little dissonances at key points (esp on the Dim chords). Track 3 comes in a bit later in the song, providing some accents on the 1 of each measure, with a higher pitched, echoey/ghostly sort of synth. Track 4 uses the same chords as Track 1, but with a synth sound that helps to fill things out a bit more, and finally we have Track 5 which uses a different synth, in a much higher register, and only playing diads to make the chords even larger.
